| The Best Bat Man Movie Yet!
The Dark Knight outshines all other Bat Man movies! Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker is simply outstanding.

| The most amazing Blu-ray I've ever seen!
Due to the tremendous hype associated with the film, I decided to skip watching "the Dark Knight" in theaters because I hate watching blockbuster films in theaters, with the talking, texting and constant interruptions associated with fellow moviegoers nowadays. Once the film was released on DVD and Blu-ray, however, I watched the movie for the first time at home on Blu-ray with my HDTV. I had read that director Christopher Nolan had filmed certain sequences with an IMAX camera for IMAX screens, but I was truly surprised at how much was filmed in the 1.78:1 IMAX ratio! Video quality is exquisitly reproduced on Blu-ray (easily Warner's best Blu-ray), though the droll Dolby TrueHD had to be cranked up to near theater levels to present honest clarity (that's the advantage of DTS audio - clarity without volume). But from a technical perspective, this is easily the best movie experience of the year. From an artistic point of view, all the hype associated with the late Heath Ledger is absolutely deserved, who steals the screen from Christian Bale.

the movie itself was perfect! the only reason it got 4 instead of 5 was because they chose the most UGLIEST female role known to all movies. Maggie Gyllenhaal! she is by far the worst looking actress i have ever laid eyes on! she ruined the whole movie. i wish that katie holmes stayed on! what a shame! also, she is not a good actress! christopher nolan what were you thinking???

this movie is VIOLENT because the comic books are VIOLENT and thats the way it should be i am a die hard batman fan and i have been a fan all my life Christian Bale is the true Batman and what can i say about Heath Ledger i was amazed by his performance the cast is awesome and the story is just superb tim burton and joel schumacher specially him should watch this movie and learn how this character is DARK

| GREAT MOVIE, BUT.........
EVEN THOUGH HEATH DID AS GOOD OR EVEN A LITTLE BETTER TO ME THAN NICHOLSON AS JOKER HE SIMPLY DIDN'T MAKE THIS MOVIE. JUST SIMPLY TOO MUCH HYPE PLACED ON HIM SOLEY BECAUSE OF HIS PREMATURE AND TRAGIC DEATH. THIS MOVIE WAS SO GREAT BECAUSE OF ALL THE GREAT CHARACTERS IN THIS MOVIE AND SOME OF THE COOLEST WRITING EVER FOR A SUPERHERO MOVIE LIKE THIS THAT BROUGHT IT ALL TOGETHER IN AN EVEN BETTER ENDING. HEATH LEDGER WAS GOOD AS JOKER BUT I THINK HIS PERFORMANCE WAS A JUST A BIT OVER RATED HERE. THOUGH WHAT HAPPENED TO HEATH WAS A TRADGEDY I THINK A LOT OF HYPE SIMPLY COMES FROM THAT BASE OF FOLKS THAT WANTED HIM RECOGNIZED FOR THAT ANOTHER SUPER HYPED LITTLE MOVIE CALLED "BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN". I PERSONALY HOPE HE GETS HONORABLE MENTION AT THE OSCARS FOR HIS WORK BUT NOT AN OSCAR BY THE SAME WAY JULIA ROBERTS DID FOR "ERIN BROCKAVICH" IN THIS WAY. I HOPE THAT IN THE NEXT BATMAN MOVIE THEY GET WHO I THINK WOULD A BE AN EVEN BETTER JOKER AND THAT IS DANIEL DAY LEWIS.
