What makes this one so much sweeter than the previous NYAPS releases of Fillmore '70 & Massey Hall '71 is that these '68 recordings weren't available as easy-to-find bootlegs for the past decade. In fact, there are 4 or 5 additional tracks from the Fillmore '70 recordings available on bootleg cds, so that release barring the bonus dvd, had little to offer as far as new material goes. "Sugar Mountain" hits the spot for even the most seasoned NY collectors, offering the first-ever, live pre-1970 solo set to surface. One word - essential.
