Slim opened up his career as the standout voice of smooth R&B vocal group 112 in 1996, but did not step out to a solo career until 12 years later. On that debut, LOVE'S CRAZY, the silken-throated singer with hip-hop airs proves himself just as nimble on his own. However, he's hardly alone, as everyone from Faith Evans to Ryan Leslie (and, of course, T-Pain) pops in to lend a hand.

There was no doubt that Slim had talent but to go from a group to doing a solo isnt always that easy but Slim put it down and made a very nice album. U dont need to skip any tracks and when you got an album like that now dayz it means a lot. Great album my favs are " She Got That", "So Fly", "So Gone" & "Bedtime Stories". Shout out to Slim and tha whole 112 fam. Submitted by DJ BIGG Hank Daddy (Benton Harbor, MI) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Underrated Slim has really stepped out there with a banging first album. This album is so underrated. If you like real r&b this is definetly a album you should put in your collection right next to Dante Jones and Joe Submitted by Jim (Augusta,Ga,USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | Irv Gotti Presents: The Inc. CD (2002)
Love's Crazy music CDs
$23.29 The debut album by producer/Svengali Irv Gotti is a murderous collection of gangsta rap. It packs some heat courtesy of a host of guest appearances by, among others, the legendary polyrhythmic rhymer Ja Rule, and the less well-known but no less talented bad-girl rapper Charli Baltimore, whose appearance on "No One Does It Better" is full of the rough-edged, switchblade-sharp phrasing that marks a skilled gangsta practitioner. Helped by an intriguing mix of new and seasoned talent, including Ashanti and one Jennifer Lopez, Gotti takes us on a wild ride through the seamy underbelly of an already dangerous genre, with guest artistes such as Black Child on "Ride Wit Us" and "O.G." providing a somber soundtrack.
The quality of tracks here is such that it seems like Gotti's under constant self-inflicted pressure to better himself. "1 Hearse, 2 Suburbans" is a likely contender for the baddest entry, though in its detached yet intimate portrayal of thug life the Ja Rule-assisted "Gangstafied" is the most well rounded cut here. IRV GOTTI PRESENTS THE INC is proof positive that, if he wants it, a career on the other side of the mixing desk is Gotti's for the taking.
The hip-hop impresario earned his stripes by producing the likes of DMX and Nas, but its on his own label, Murder Inc., that he's truly come into his own as a player to rival the likes of P. Diddy or Dr. Dre. Not one to let a trend pass him ...
