The journey of the Native American Flute became a search for soul and spirit that has led me to find peace and meaning in my life I never knew I could find. This journey has been one of exploration and discovery of worlds and cultures, peoples and places through history and the past into the present and the future. I met Paul at a local flute circle where he and his wife were beginning their journey of the flute. With the creation of the Fort Worth Flute circle, we began to bring alternative instruments into play... and then one night Paul brought his guitar...... the rest is magic. We found that his skill with the guitar and love of the flute led to an innate understanding of where the music should go to support the flute. For myself, it seems as if we can read each other's thoughts as we play, seeming to know what the other is going to do next without question. Everything we play is improvisation from the heart, soul and spirit of the muse that guides us to create a sensual soundscape of peaceful meditation and gentle dance. Come on in and join us in this place of Love, Peace and Soft Winds Blessings. Thank you for exploring my world. | | Wilco Sky Blue Sky CD (2007) Enhanced CD
Sign Of Things To Come music CDs
$10.79 Of course this is still Jeff Tweedy's band, which means SKY BLUE SKY never strays too far from what has emerged as a basic Wilco template. The constantly shifting Chicago ensemble (in its umpteenth incarnation by the album's release) still displays an instrumental precision and studio professionalism while working within a newfangled roots template, and Tweedy himself remains as searching as always, both lyrically ...

Matt Flinner is probably one of the best and most inventive mandolin players around. His bluegrass experience has stood him in good stead, but there's far more to his playing than that. He's equally comfortable ranging through jazz and even ...

Sign Of Things To Come album
$10.15 With new band, Ewing goes back to just singingBy Kevin C. JohnsonPOST-DISPATCH POP MUSIC CRITICThursday, Jul. 31 2008It took only five CDs to get there, but former Urge front man Steve Ewing(photo below) may be at his Urge-like best on his new CD \"Common Side Effects.\"Ewing\'s first four post-Urge CDs were his own projects, but \"Common SideEffects\" is a Steve Ewing Band release, which takes it back to the old schoolfor Ewing. \"This might sound closer to what the Urge used to do, though there\'s no hornsor keyboards,\" Ewing said. \"There\'s not a lot of stuff going on productionwise. It\'s just straight-uprock, and it sounds like what I always used to do in this capacity. It\'s thefirst record I\'ve cut with a full band,\" said Ewing, who had gotten used toperforming in an acoustic duo. Drummer Tony Barbata, guitarist Adam Hansbrough and bassist Nick Jost fill outthe band. Much like his time with the Urge, Ewing is allowed to simply sing on \"CommonSide Effects\" rather than doing nearly everything to make a record \"Prince orLenny Kravitz style,\"He hadn\'t been able to just sing for a long time. \"I can see myself doing this for quite a while. I\'ve formed a great bond withthem, and they\'re top notch,\" Ewing said of his band mates. \"I have a lot oftrust with them. \"The band recorded everything in a couple of weeks, mostly in one or two takes. The idea of holing up in a studio for six months to record was thrown out thewindow in favor of getting in and out quickly. \"I wanted to go back to the simple process of making a record, and you can onlydo that with a good band,\" Ewing said. \"We knew what we wanted to do, so wesaid let\'s not take a lot of time. \"The title track to \"Common Side Effects\" likens love to a drug. \"It\'s something ...
