Steven Sharp Nelson Tender Mercies CD (2008)
Songs by Tchaikovsky, Musorgsky and Ned Rorem Steven Sharp Nelson began developing his musical talents at a very early age. His first composition, for percussion ensemble, was written before he could even read music. His skills and interests are rooted in the cello, voice, guitar, and percussion. Nelson's ability and style span many instruments and genres of music most aptly in classical, cultural, folk, and improvisational music. He has written many pieces for a variety of ensembles, and is most acclaimed for his works written for symphony, chorale, and for film. Among these works are "Farewell," a piece written at age 15, which was performed by the Utah Symphony, "Supplication," an acapella piece written for the memory of 9/11 victims, and "Spanish Trail Suite," a nationally commissioned symphony commemorating the Old Spanish Trail.
Steven Sharp Nelson is no stranger to the stage and is also sought after by recording studios. His cello sounds can be heard on over 100 different albums some of which have been at the top of the Billboard charts. He was deemed "the best cellist in Utah" by KSFI FM100 and in 2004 he was nominated as the best studio musician of the year by the FCMA.

Tomoko Sugawara Spring CD (2008)
Songs by Tchaikovsky, Musorgsky and Ned Rorem About this recording Shigeru Hamada, Japan's most prestigious music critic, has written: "This is the debut album of the young harpist Tomoko Sugawara. Although young, she has long been active internationally and exudes calmness and confidence in her performance. The selection draws from both the standard and non-standard repertoire. Among the former are Glinka's variations on a theme by Mozart, 'La Source' by Hasselmans, 'Au Matin' by Turnier, and 'Chanson dans la nuit,' 'Tango,' and 'Rumba' by Salzedo. Most of these are original harp pieces, unique and rich in sprit. Some, like 'Clair de Lune' by Debussy and 'Ebb Tide' by Maxwell, are arranged pieces. There are also ensemble pieces, 'Entr'acte' and 'Deux Interludes' for flute and violin by Ibert. Tomoko Sugawara has fine technique and excellent ability to bring out the melody and emphasize its structure. In addition, I like to mention her suppleness and flexibility. I am happy to report that a new promising player has appeared in the harp world. In particular, I would single out 'Deux Interludes' which have received few recordings, although one imagines there would have been many."
Sumire Kuwajima, a former Professor of Harp at Tokyo University of Fine Arts adds: "The harp is called 'queen of instruments' for its graceful shape and sounds. It is so delicate, moody, and hard to handle that it often annoys its players. But Ms. Sugawara's harp seems to be a part of her body, and she can make it sing at will. Her sincere enjoyment of the sounds allows the audience to imagine the world as she hears it. Her warm nature, artistic quality, and prodigious talent give her listeners a relaxed, heart-warming sensation. I hope this CD will be enjoyed by people all over the world. - This CD was created using the finest recording technique which emphasize the best features of the instrument through the collaboration of the engineer and the performer. I consider this CD a 'classic' album."

Michael Partington Sonatas and Partitas CD (2003)
Songs by Tchaikovsky, Musorgsky and Ned Rorem "If you want consummate guitar artistry, try this wonderful new CD by guitarist Michael Partington - performed with such command, tonal variety and musicianship that you'll play this one over and over."Melinda Bargreen, Seattle Times
"Michael Partington plays on this disc with the kind of visceral excitement associated more with live performance than with recording. This is apparent from the first notes of the first track, Sor's Gran Solo, which gets an absorbingly dramatic interpretation ... The most appealing item on the disc, however, is Bryan Johanson's Partita, a 14 minute listener-friendly work that is nevertheless skillfully put together and which Partington, for whom it was written, clearly has the measure of ... high-voltage performing style ... "Allen Clive Jones, Classical Guitar Magazine
Michael Partington is one of the most engaging of the new generation of concert players. Praised by Classical Guitar Magazine for his "lyricism, intensity and clear technical command," this award-winning British guitarist has performed internationally as a soloist and with ensemble to unanimous critical praise. Audiences are put at ease by his charming stage manner and captivated by his musical interpretations. His innate rhythmic understanding and sense for tonal colour combine to form some of the most memorable phrasing to be heard on the guitar.
He began playing guitar at age 6 while growing up in Wales, gave his first public performance at age 7 and won his first competition at age 9. He has trained with many of the world's greatest guitarists, including Oscar Ghiglia, Eliot Fisk, Eduardo Fernandez, Manuel Barrueco and David Russell, who commented on his "exquisite good taste and fluid perfection." Partington received a performance degree from the University of Washington, where he was a Brechemin scholar and graduated magna cum laude, studying under Steven Novacek.
Since moving to the USA he has received awards in several guitar, instrumental and concerto competitions. He has appeared throughout the USA, UK and Scandanavia in solo recital, with orchestra and in chamber ensembles. He has performed along the West Coast from Los Angeles to Vancouver, and in Idaho, Arizona, Texas and Virginia, including the first solo guitar recital in Seattle's Benaroya Hall. Other US performances include the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival, the Cascadia Festival, the Chelan Bach Fest, the Northwest Guitar Festival and the Portland Guitar Festival, Town Hall and Meany Theater in Seattle, Portland's Lincoln Hall, Murphy Hall in Los Angeles, Katzin Hall in Phoenix. Concerts in England and Wales have included Blackheath Halls, St. Martin-in-the-Fields and St. James', Piccadilly in London; St. Mary in the Castle, Hastings; Bristol Music Club; Norwegian Church, Cardiff; Russell-Cotes Museum, Bournemouth; Brewery Arts Centre, Kendall; Trinity Arts Centre, Tunbridge Wells; Nottingham; Carlisle; Derby; and others. He has performed live on BBC Radio 3's In Tune, BBC Radio Bristol, BBC Wales and Great Western Radio in the UK, as well as on KUOW, KING FM, KZAZ, and KAOS in Washington, KUT in Texas, and cable television in California and Washington. He has also performed with Orchestra Seattle, Seattle Choral Company, Seattle Chamber Players, Seattle Creative Orchestra, Wenatchee Valley Symphony, Seattle New Music Ensemble, Seattle Symphony Chorale, English organist Margaret Phillips, Grammy-winning soprano Carmen Pelton, and the Seattle Guitar Quartet. He has released four solo CDs for Rosewood Recordings.

Berceuses Pacific Cello CD (2011)
Songs by Tchaikovsky, Musorgsky and Ned Rorem Renata Bratt and Shannon Lynn Brown first met when Shannon began studying cello with Renata. During lessons, Shannon mentioned that one day she planned to create music for massage - music that would combine her love of melody and the sound of the cello with her therapeutic training. Renata talked about the music she plays for meditation and times of spiritual reflection. They decided the time is now. Together they began Berceuse, a collaboration grounded in the two worlds of music and massage and inspired by Shannon's desire to create "adult lullabies as ideal music for massage."
Pacific Cello is 70 minutes of uninterrupted melody and harmony that works for massage, relaxation and gentle yoga and savasana. Eloquent melodies floating over gentle harmony sooth the listener and help them focus on the healing and meditating states they seek for their sessions. Intended to work within actual sessions, Pacific Cello enables practitioners and clients alike to get in the flow and achieve their goals for their time together.
Renata Bratt, cello, piano and composerShannon Lynn Brown, producerPacific Cello was recorded at Open Path Music in San Jose, California by Lee Ray.
