Music Of My Life Vol. 22 - Golden Decade 1957 CD music
$28.25 Camel's classic period started with The Snow Goose, an instrumental concept album based on a novella by Paul Gallico. Although there are no lyrics on the album -- two songs feature wordless vocals -- the music follows the emotional arc of the novella's story, which is about a lonely man named Rhayader who helps nurse a wounded snow goose back to health with the help of a young girl called Fritha he recently befriended. Once the goose is healed, it is set free, but Fritha no longer visits the man because the goose is gone. Later, Rhayader is killed in battle during the evacuation of Dunkirk. Music Of My Life Vol. 22 - Golden Decade 1957 music CDs
$9.59 Notes from Michael Welch: This is my first recording as a bandleader. I'm proud of this first effort. As a new-bee in the independent music business I was caught off-guard by this albums success. With a simple mailing list of radio stations this record quickly entered the top 10 around the United States. I didn't have a manager, publicist or any of the things to take advantage of a window of opportunity. With those things I could have toured and supported myself as a working musician. Instead I continued my day gig and soon became a "Theme Park Musician" @ Walt Disney World. As my first recording you can hear many different styles. My effort to compose as Glass/Riley/Steve Reich with "Afrobot" and the jazz and fusion crossover material. Thanks for listening-Michael WelchIn 1982 Welch was accepted into the Atlantic Center for the Arts master study program with musician/drummer-Elvin Jones, poet/writer-Allen Ginsberg and film producer/photographer-Robert Frank. Welch’s current work is produced within these mediums of expression. Performances and installations include music, sound, film, spoken word, still image & text based upon his life experiences playing the drumset.Welch is currently rehearsing his 2009 group "To be named later" Welch plays the music of his favorite drummers.
