ONMYRADIO, Musiq's fifth full length and his second for Atlantic records, sees the Philly-based artist returning to the warm analog textures and comforting retro aesthetic of 2007's acclaimed LUVANMUSIQ. Like that effort, ONMY RADIO is more or less neatly divided between slow-burning ballads (indebted to masters of Philly smooth soul like Teddy Pendergrass and the Delfonics), and more forward-looking, dance-oriented cuts that reflect Musiq's ties to the hip-hop scene, reminding listeners of his fruitful collaborations with artists like Talib Kweli and Lloyd Banks. Though the trunk-rattling rhythm of lead single "Radio" and the auto-tuned vocals of "BackAgain" situate ONMYRADIO firmly in modern era, Musiq's performances here possess the stylish assurance that distinguished `70s soul producers like Gamble & Huff and Van McCoy.Entertainment Weekly (p.70) - "He hasn't abandoned his romantic roots, but he was wise to enrich them with Southern charm." -- Grade: B+

I love musiq. His album is wonderful. Would have liked to hear a few more upbeat tracks but the album is still great.

I don't know what's wrong with these bubblegum pop listeners, but this album speaks volume. This is the main reason why neo soul artists such as him having difficulties getting around because of people who don't appreciate real music.

Brilliant as always......
This guy is amazing...not a bad album yet. He is 5 for 5. Who else can you say that about? My only complaint here would be that he isn't giving us enough material, but that keeps you wanting more I guess. The immediate standouts are "Backagain", "Until", "Ifuleave", "Deserveumore" and "Sobeautiful". I mean this guy is so talented its scary. He has a familiar sound, but sounds fresh every time he steps up to the plate. Amazing. This CD is an absolute must for the real music lover.

I can't see how anyone can say this album is not fire. I'm not even a big Musiq fan, but DAMN! This album is krazy. I'm feelin it, and Musiq keep up the good work. Can't wait for the next one.

The songs weren't that great until the second half. He's one of my favorite artists, but with all the other R&B male artists that are hot, he should've stepped up to the plate.
