On 2009's EVOLUCION DE AMOR, Los Temerarios, fronted by brothers Adolfo and Gustavo Angel, largely recreates the same lighter-than-air vibe that was prominent on the previous SI TU TEVAS. This time around, the Mexican siblings revisit some of their greatest hits, including the romantic ballads "Te Hice Mal," "Te Quiero," and "Eres Un Sueno."

Electronica is a very global phenomenon, and serious world music enthusiasts will tell you that it isn't hard to find world/electronica hybrids coming from places ranging from Ireland and Scotland to Japan to North Africa. Electronica also has plenty of followers in Brazil, where club hounds have been combining Brazilian rhythms with jungle/drum'n'bass, trance, house, trip-hop, and many other club-friendly styles. Putumayo has described Brazilian Lounge as one of 2006's Brazilian/electronica compilations -- not electronica as in harsh, abrasive, forceful techno and rave music, but electronica in the softer chillout/downtempo sense. Much of the time, however, this 44-minute CD's electronica credentials are questionable. The use of some electronic programming doesn't automatically make your music electronica; hip-hop and new age (to use two disparate examples) are often heavily electronic, but neither is considered part of electronica. And for the most part, Brazilian Lounge is best described as a jazzy Brazilian pop disc that has some chillout and downtempo references but isn't aimed at a ...

At a very early age, Alif Laila entered the study of Indian Classical music. She was trained in Dhaka, Bangladesh by the late Ustad Mir Qasem Khan, nephew of legendary maestro, Ustad Allauddin Khan, in the Nazrul Music Academy. After some time, she was taken under the wings of her Ustad, to be taught in great depths on a ‘one to one’ basis for eight years.. In this method, Alif Laila was taught the intricate techniques and compositions that embody the school of music called the ‘Senia Maihar Gharana’ started by Ustad Allauddin Khan. Alif has a passion for the arts beyond music alone. During her final years of training , she attended the College of Fine Arts in Dhaka, where she graduated in 1981 with a bachelor’s degree and received several awards for her water color painting. Alif’s mind opened to the world of true art as she painted the moods of life with both color and melody.In 1988 she moved to the United States, far away from the origins of her music, yet finding the fortune of many eminent musicians and teachers who guided and influenced her music. Her intense study of music continued with teachers, Partha Chatterjee and Krishna Bhatt, both of whose music are influenced by Pandit Nikhil Banerjee,one the greatest sitarists of all times.
