The CD liner notes tell the whole story...December 16, 2006: My exhausted wife Teresa and I welcome our first child, Eryk Riordan Baranowski, into the world, and I become a new man. Miraculously, the worldly things I\'d always thought to be so important suddenly become insignificant... My respect for life - new life, especially - blossoms infinitely... My short temper does a 360, along with my equally short level of patience... My beliefs and manner of speaking begin to graduate to a higher level... and my creative endeavors and interests gradually shift from dark and exploitative to light, positive and poignant.People always told me I was wasting my God-given talents before this fateful day. Musically, my prior compositions reveled in leaving an audience heavy-hearted and sorrowful, while my visual output no doubt induced little more than titillating, sinful thoughts and unhealthy fantasies. Certainly, there\'s an audience for such material, and I don\'t regret or apologize for catering to it. However, as human beings, we all need to grow - to evolve - and this body of work is best left in my past. I\'ve gotten it out of my system, and I wish to move on to bigger, better, and more meaningful things... for Eryk\'s sake, at the very least. Which brings me to this album.
