The Hardline Blues BandCheck out our web site and blog at www.hardlineblues.comIt\'s not uncommon for people attending the Hardline Blues Band\'s many Edmonton-area shows to walk up to the stage afterwards and ask the same question: \"Where the heck did these guys come from?\"The band is made up of Edmonton musicians who are regular working stiffs by day and hardcore blues and rock fans by night. But it goes a little deeper than that. It\'s actually the culmination of a five-year effort by frontman Jeremy Loome to develop a particular sound that started with the three-piece Southside Ride, was followed by the Whiskey Kings and ended up in Hardline.\"Most of the other guys in the bands are long-time veterans of the Western Canadian music scene,\" says Loome. \"So there are decades of experience up there on stage. The difference in the reaction to this band has simply been a question of the passion we\'re putting into it, I think. That, and our horns kick butt.\"That passion resulted in more than 20 nights at Blues on Whyte in Edmonton during the band\'s first full year together, in 2007. The band also featured to two shoulder-to-shoulder packed nights at the Drake Inn in Canmore, with an invited to come back this summer. The Drake has been named Conde Nast\'s pick for the best pub in the Rockies. Add in side gigs at clubs around the Edmonton region and it was a good year, culminating in the band\'s completion of a live CD, There Goes the Neighbourhood, Live at Blues on Whyte. The band also played an acoustic set for the hundreds of thousands of listeners to the K97 FM Classic Rock morning show.Nowhere Left to Run, a studio CD of nearly all original material is now released and the band will be playing across Alberta and in the region supporting it.For More information, press contacts or bookings, contact Doug Crighton at 780-232-1122Band Members: Jeremy Loome Vocals, GuitarDoug Crighton GuitarDon Sellers BassJonny McCormick SaxRustin McAllister Sax Wolf Radke KeyboardsGreg Lintz Percusions Nowhere Left To Run Music | List Price | $14.99 (You save $3.60) | | Category | Blues Albums | | Label | CD Baby | | CD Universe Part number | 7793028 | | Catalog number | 308552 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Oct 14, 2008 |

Nowhere Left To Run
$16.45 Los Pecados De Maria "The Sins of Mary"combine the power of Hard Rock with the influences of their Latin heritage, to bring a loud and emotional mix to the rock en español genre. Formed in Chicago in 2004 the band was founded by lead vocalist Marialen Magaña . Her inspiration for the group came after writing what would later become the bands first single, “Por Si Una Vez”. Choosing the direction of rock, and using her influences of traditional Mexican art and music, she formed an image for the band that would shape the culture for Los Pecados. The band started coming together when Tijuana Mexico native Javier Cazares jumped on board. His aggressive approach to the lead guitar was only complimented by the percussive style of bassist Agustin Santana. Their experience in song writing only became enhanced by the solid legwork of drummer Alex Reynoso. Together the three musicians along with Marialen began to shape the style of rock she had envisioned for the band. Performing with World acts such as El Tri, Mago de Oz, Enanitos Verdes, Panteon Roccoco, Alejandra Guzman, and Gloria Trevi. The band’s live show has the energy and excitement that can only be experienced in person.Por Si Una Vez opens with the emotional power of Marialen’s voice on "Me Fui", giving listeners a sample of the Rock Latino that combines the traditional with the conventional rock.
