STINK TANK was formed in the summer of 2006 by producer Man Mantis and MC Laduma Nguyuza. Inspired by the creativity and originality of acts like De La Soul, The Roots, Wu Tang Clan, MF DOOM and Madlib, the two sought to create a conceptual statement on the current state of hip hop, using multiple characters (all portrayed by Nguyuza) to create a microcosm of players, haters, gangstas and wankstas. After two years of dedicated studio work, STINK TANK\'s debut LP, Books on Tape, is now available at http:// worldaroundrecords Stink Tank Books On Tape Songs | 1. | Happy |

Books On Tape album
$11.99 Barry White's ALL-TIME GREATEST HITS contains the original single versions of his classic solo hits, as well as two songs White performed as the lead vocalist of the Love Unlimited Orchestra. All tracks were previously released on the 20th Century Records label.
All tracks digitally remastered by Gary Mayo (Polygram Studios).
It took quite a while for a definitive Barry White compilation to hit the market, but All-Time Greatest Hits -- part of Mercury's Funk Essentials series -- finally filled the bill in 1995. Boasting a full 20 tracks from White's heyday of 1973-1978, more than half of which made the R&B Top Ten, All-Time Greatest Hits is easily the most generous single-disc White collection on the market. It includes the edited single versions, not the full-length album tracks, which actually makes for a more digestible introduction to White's achievements. Like his forebear Isaac Hayes, White was not just a deep-voiced crooner, but a talented producer and arranger who'd spent years honing his craft behind the scenes in the industry. And like Hayes, White spent a great deal of time setting up moods on his albums, using lush, sweeping ...

| | Jay-Z In My Lifetime Vol. 1 CD (1997)
Books On Tape album
$10.45 Jay-Z's critically acclaimed debut album REASONABLE DOUBT earned him much respect as an MC. At the time, it was one of the few albums to contain not only true displays of lyrical skills but slammin' beats all the way through. After experiencing blow-up success with his first release, Jay-Z follows with IN MY LIFETIME, VOL. 1, the first in what would be a three volume set.
IN MY LIFETIME, VOL. 1 introduces the hip-hop audience to a more diverse Jay-Z. Still lyrically gifted, Jay-Z has experimented ...
| | Notorious B I G Greatest Hits CD (2007)
Books On Tape CD music
$15.05 Considered by some to be the greatest MC of all time, the late Christopher Wallace had recorded just two solo LPs at the time of his death. Still, his mark on the genre has been indelible and his influence unending. Released to coincide with the 10th anniversary of his still-unsolved murder, GREATEST HITS mostly makes good on what its title promises.
Included in the 17-song tracklist are all the boom-box bangers ...

Books On Tape songs
$10.75 Chris Barber is an absolute iconic giant in the world of Jazz and Blues and 'Can't Stop Now', recorded Live during his European Tour in 2007 is ground-breaking in the evolution of a career that continues to expand over the past 53 years working as a professional musician and band-leader. Featuring the Big Chris Barber Band and a special guest appearance from Andy Fairweather-Low on 'Worried Man Blues', 'Gin House', and 'Lay My Burdon Down'
The redoubtable Chris Barber is joined here by many guests, including Andy Fairweather Low and Graham Lyle. The title Can't Stop Now: European Tour 2007 is a bit misleading, as this terrific collection of songs (running well over an hour) was compiled from a variety of sources dating back to 1985, 1988, 2006, and early 2007. The four-page booklet is jam-packed with information, but you can go to the legend's own website, Chrisbarber.net, to get the dates, players, and even more information. The sound is superb, ...

| | Nicole Herzog Septet Time Will Tell CD (2009)
Books On Tape CD music
$13.15 Many of TCB's releases are known for having a strong warhorse factor; in other words, their releases often emphasize overdone standards that have been recorded by countless artists over the years. And that is especially problematic for younger singers and instrumentalists, who need to build interesting, attention-grabbing repertoires instead of simply rehashing an abundance of songs that have long since been beaten to death. The warhorse factor is problematic for Swiss vocalist Nicole Herzog on Time Will Tell, although this 2007 release also has its share of positive attributes. Herzog's singing has a charming, girlish quality, but there is some bluesy grit in her singing as well -- and that appealing blend of sweetness and grit asserts itself on several warhorses (including Frank Loesser's "If I Were a Bell," George Gershwin's "The Man I Love," and Antonio Carlos Jobim's "One Note Samba") and three likable post-bop songs by trombonist Adrian Mears ("The Best I Can," "While My Baby Sleeps," and the title track). Mears handles all the arrangements, and his presence ...
