Earth vs. The Flying Saucers Video Earth vs. The Flying Saucers Movie Review Colorized Version Review Its about time!!!!
We have all seen the B+W version and those incredible saucers.
Now at last you can enjoy this all over again.
This is a classic.
We need the Thing from Another World colorized also. I have a VHS of it and Invasion of the Body Snatchers, both colorized , and they are BETTER than the original B+W claasic.
Watch this movie and look for more colorized sci-fi films...Watch the Skies. Submitted by Vince (Tampa) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful. This review is for a different format.

HARRYHAUSEN RULES!!! I am not a fan of the colorization process, because I am an old school/ b&w/mono/hi-fi lover, and thrive on the mood that is created by these original technologies. Frankly, I wouldn't have purchased this product if the b&w version wasn't included. But, when I heard Ray Harryhausen explain, in the commentary, all the reasons why he believes in revamping some of these films, I was sold. As far as I'm concerned, this film, along with all the others he's worked on, are pretty much HIS films, and if he believes the fans should also see them in color, I'm all about it. Packed with extra features, including a very entertaining and revealing commentary (you will not believe what they used for the sound of the saucers), and an interview with Joan Taylor, this DVD is a must-buy for any fan of this genre. Nostalgic Indulgence I've been trying to get a copy of this movie for ages.I first saw this movie when I was about 13 and it blew me away. Now 38 years later I have been able to relive that experience thanks to CD Universe. Submitted by parksie (Perth,Western Australia) Was This Review Helpful? RAY HARRYHAUSEN'S MASTERPIECE DYNAMATION made this movie an epic sci-fi.It´s very well-done,the acting good enough, the story well-written,in the context of the cold war.Its B&W picture was superbly restored, crisp, seemingly a brand-new movie.MAGNIFICENT!The 'flying saucers' don't seem to be hanged by any wires(they actually were)...Next to WAR OF THE WORLDS,the best sci-fi movie of all time! Naturally, the newly pacifist machine wants out of the military and escapes. As a frantic search for the creature begins, Number 5 settles down in his new home, with a gentle young woman named Stephanie (Ally Sheedy), who has every intention of holding on to her find, teaching Number 5 about popular culture and other mysteries of life. Earth vs. The Flying Saucers film
$22.79 Actor Ed Harris takes only his second stab at directing, following the Oscar-winning feature POLLOCK (2000) with this spirited western. Harris draws on a strong cast, many of whom have acted with him in previous films, to tell the story of two gunfighters attempting to bring peace to the small town of Appaloosa in the late 1800s. Virgil Cole (Harris) and Everett Hitch (Viggo Mortensen) ride into the windswept New Mexico town and are hired to bring vigilante entrepreneur Randall Bragg (Jeremy Irons) to justice. Bragg has imposed a reign of terror over Appaloosa, but his murderous actions are tempered when Cole and Hitch take control. Matters get complicated when widower Allison French (Renee Zellweger) flounces into town and variously woos Cole, Hitch, and Bragg, allowing Harris to throw in a few neat twists as his two principal characters attempt to bring the miscreant entrepreneur to justice.
APPALOOSA is a slow-moving and beautifully shot feature that perfectly translates the dusky New Mexico landscape to celluloid. The film stands shoulder to shoulder with 21st-century westerns such as THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE COWARD ROBERT FORD and THE PROPOSITON, and much like those films Harris's feature draws heavily on deeply affecting performances from his leads. Irons is particularly affecting as the baleful Bragg, who brings a real air of menace to the screen any time he appears on camera. The nuanced turns by ...

Earth vs. The Flying Saucers review
$62.39 Created by successful television producer J.J. Abrams (FELICITY, ALIAS), LOST became one of the most popular and critically acclaimed programs of the 2004-2005 season. Utilizing a ripe premise and well-drawn and acted characters, LOST attracted a huge following and was proclaimed the saving grace of a television year otherwise marred by derivative reality programming. The story concerns the survivors of a terrible plane crash, who find themselves stranded on a tropical island with seemingly ...

Earth vs. The Flying Saucers DVD
$29.56 Matteo Garrone's GOMORRAH is a dense, sprawling exposé of the corruption plaguing the communities of Naples and Caserta in modern-day Italy. The all-powerful Camorra syndicate influences the lives of even the most innocent citizens. In a manner similar to THE WIRE, Garrone tells his story from many different angles, resulting in a complicated narrative that often feels novelistic. In many cases, the revolving stories never overlap or intersect. While that may be jarring to those viewers who are used to having their strings tied neatly for them by a film's conclusion, Garrone's decision ...
