RTZ album
$33.75 The Small Faces present their four disc U.K. import reissue release OGDEN'S NUT GONE FLAKE.
Having begun their career as the archetypal Mod band, the Small Faces latterly embraced traces of flower-power's whimsy. Astute enough not to sacrifice their identity, the quartet retained a distinctive perspective, as evinced by a string of superb pop singles, including "Here Comes The Nice" and "Itchycoo Park." A sense of pop melody and adventurism culminated on this album which encompassed tongue-in-cheek fun ("Lazy Sunday") and passionate love songs ("Afterglow"). Steve Marriott's voice remains completely self-assured and the group's characteristic organ-based swell is often enhanced by P.P. Arnold's emotional backing vocals. Eccentric comedian Stanley Unwin narrates the concept suite "Happiness Stan," but the music is strong ...

$15.15 Bio:Shay Boogie not only combines the great societal messages of Harlem Renaissance writers but the cultural sensation of hip hops golden age. All sources seem to point to the birthplace of Shay Boogie in the Bronx, New York City as the origin for the hip-hop culture. Growing up as one of six children, she was raised in the Edenwald Projects in an area known as "The Square." It was in her days as a student at Evander Childs High School that a creative writing teacher discovered her innate poetic talents as she was encouraged to keep a daily journal. In the journal she would write rhymes which she would ultimately spit in a huddle with classmates. A young tomboy with passion and drive she strived to be taken seriously as a female rapper in a male dominated art form. Salt n Pepa, Monie Love and Queen Latifah gave Shay the much needed hope that a woman could in fact earn respect in a business that some consider to be at times misogynistic in nature, through these artists she learned the power of the female voice in hip hip could in fact go from a faint whisper to a bellowing scream. The mirror would serve as her first audience as she rehearsed and practiced songs like Ladies First and UNITY in preparation for future concerts with a live crowd. Latifah served as a role model and defining inspiration for the young female black rapper in pursuit of respect and acceptance. "The Queen taught me to respect and embrace being a woman. That is what i want to give back to the young black women of the next generation."Shay's family was incredibly supportive of her efforts and goals encouraging the young artist to pursue her passions to the fullest. She joined the United States Army shortly after her graduation where her focus on rhyming was replaced by a focus on discipline yet this did not detour the young rapper from writing in every free moment and pushing forward with her musical career. After her time in the service ended Washington D.C. was the next stop on her journey to success. It was there that real life began to unfold and addiction became a crutch that she would ultimately need to defeat in order to pursue her passion with a clear head and an open heart. It was in 2003 that Shay Boogie adopted a new serious approach to her craft . "I recognized that my mission on earth was to make music. To express myself and my life, my triumphs and tragedies through my music." She would work tirelessly to perfect her talent and turn her high school hobby into a professional touchstone. It was in 2004 that she her professional first love met her personal one. She married Rickey D. Morris Jr, the CEO of New Levels Entertainment Co, which he has had since 1999. About nine months into the relationship her husband discovered her passion for hip hop, "He helped to mold Shay Boogie into the prolific, risk taking, inspirational and tell it like it really is artist that I am today."The studio had become her second home. With a focus on storytelling and conveying her unique ...
