Milton Berle first charmed audiences in the 1948 as the host of a comedy-variety hour called THE TEXACO STAR THEATRE. The show was a huge success in the fifties, and Merle became a major star of the new television medium. Structured around a Vaudeville format, the show highlighted Berle's flair for comedy, gags, and outrageous costumes. In 1966, "Uncle Milty" returned with THE MILTON BERLE SHOW, based on a similar format. Filmed at the Hollywood Theatre, the skits in this best-of collection include guest appearances by comic legends Ethel Merman, Danny Thomas, Jackie Cooper, Mickey Rooney, Peter Lawford, and Zsa Zsa Gabor. This release includes more than eight hours of classic comedy with one of television's entertainment legends. Milton Berle Show - Volumes 1 & 2 DVD Adoringly known as "Uncle Miltie" and "Mr. Television," Milton Berle began his career at the age of six with an uncredited role in The Perils of Pauline (1914). For eight decades Berle was a staple of radio, movies and television. With an unprecedented thirty-year contract with NBC, he began work on "The Milton Berle Show" in 1948. Also known as "The Texaco Star Theater," it was one of the most popular programs in early television and ran for nearly a decade.
This 2-DVD bundle pack contains the following episodes:
Milton Berle with Zsa Zsa Gabor: Filmed at the Nellis Air Force Base outside Las Vegas in March of 1956, Uncle Miltie entertains a few thousand fighter pilots with the help of Hungarian beauty Zsa Zsa Gabor, sensual French singer/actress Denise Darcel, and Ray Anthony and his orchestra.
Milton Berle with Ronald Reagan: Ronald Reagan calls upon 'Uncle Miltie' to finance his latest movie. Hilarity ensues when Milton mistakes the request to bankroll the picture as a chance to star in it.
Milton Berle with Gertrude Berg: America's favorite Jewish mother, Molly Goldberg, gives Maxine helpful hints at trapping Milton into marriage in this delightful 1953 episode featuring The Andrews Sisters.
Milton Berle with Peter Lawford and Carol Channing: It's the 1953 holiday season, and the ever-modest Miltie is planning a party in his own honor. Maxine hopes to snare him as her date, but Berle would rather pawn off his cloying secretary to Peter Lawford!

Milton Berle Show - Volumes 1 & 2 review
$7.95 Set in Texas in the 1950s, SECONDHAND LIONS tells the touching story of Walter (Haley Joel Osment), a shy teenager sent to stay with two estranged uncles for the summer. Various rumors surround the two uncles (played by Robert Duvall and Michael Caine), mostly because the duo have only recently resurfaced into family life after 40 years spent carrying out misdeeds and illicit activities. The one fact about the men, of which Walter's mom is only too aware, is that they appear to be extremely wealthy, having stashed over one million dollars in cash at an undisclosed location. After initially balking at Walter's inherent shyness and nervous disposition, the two men soon warm to the child, and proceed to tell him some incredible tales of their adventures.

Milton Berle Show - Volumes 1 & 2 video
$11.35 Comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham hits the stage with hilarious new pals Achmed the Dead Terrorist and Melvin the Super hero, as well as old favorites Peanut, Walter, and Jose Jalapeno, in this sidesplitting performance at Washington D.C.'s Warner Theater.
More than just a stand-up comic, Jeff Dunham is a one-man comedy troupe--a ring-leader in a circus of snark. The veteran ventriloquist may be the only one with vocal chords, but he’s often the least vocal, playing straight man to a steam trunk of personalities: Achmed the Dead Terrorist, a goofball skeleton still fighting the infidels; Peanut, an odd purple creature with a fast mouth; Jose Jalapeño, a smooth-talking pepper on a stick; Bubba J, NASCAR’s biggest fan; and Walter, a dirty old man who speaks his mind. Together with his hilarious and irreverent puppets, Dunham riffs on everything from politics to family life, and slays the audience with his quick-witted banter. SPARK OF INSANITY features one of Dunham’s funniest performances, recorded live at Washington D.C.’s Warner Theater.
Jeff Dunham has become one of the most successful touring comics ever and has amassed legions of loyal fans! At the American ...
