Irrational Man is Marcel Soulodre. Marcel has been singing and playing music all of his life. He is an accomplished singer / songwriter who has garnered many awards for his songs and albums. He has covered a wide range of music from solo folk to post punk to rocking cajun and zydeco. He has released three CD\'s on his own independant label, Irrational Man.Marcel\'s francophone heritage and his time spent exploring the musical heritage of South West Louisiana have blended to form his unique sound. Marcel\'s numerous TV appearances and radio play of his albums has enabled him to tour extensively across Canada, the US and France.Marcel was born in a moving car and has been wandering ever since. His interests do not include traffic jams, yachting and gasoline powered vehicles. He can often be found traversing North America looking for his next gig and vehicle propane for his van Bertha.Marcel’s first public performance was playing in his family’s orchestra on his brother’s pirate radio station. It was broadcast from their basement and had an audience of eight neighboring households.Calling his music Western, because that’s where he’s from, Marcel feels his songs need no further categorization.\" It’s just stuff that I remembered when I sobered up. Thank God the tape machine was on.\"For someone who only listens to Hardcore and Jazz, Marcel consistently writes songs that sound like he’s been drunk and disorderly with John Prine, Johnny Cash and the ghost of Hank Williams.
