| | Rich Martin Tune Factory CD Rich Martin Discography of CDs
"The Tune Factory" marks the sixth all-original album of music composed and played by Rich Martin on the piano. It reflects a long career playing music in a variety of styles that recall his breadth of musical experience from playing professionally in nightclubs and for dances and private parties all over the San Francisco Bay Area as well on a cruise ship and in Nevada casinos. He also spent many years teaching thousands of public school instrumental music students to make music a part of their lives. His early work experience outside of music included three summers and three years working full-time in labor jobs at the Peter Paul candy factory in Oakland, California. The diversity of the musical styles in which he writes and performs provides the listener with a multiplicity of musical pleasures. If you don’t like the first, fifth or twelfth piece, you may love the second, fifteenth or the last one on the album. On most of his CD's, the last piece is often classically oriented while the others are in a wide variety of styles. On the last composition, listen for a variation of "shave & a haircut, six bits" at the very end on five of the six CD's. Check out all of his CD’s. If you like piano music, you are bound to find music that you will love to listen to again and again. If you are a fan of Rap, Hip-Hop, Heavy Metal, Contemporary Rock, New Age music, or Elvis, Rich’s music may not be what you are looking for. On the other hand, please give Rich a try if you enjoy listening to melodies you continue to hum long after the music has faded or rhythms that make you want to tap your foot or dance. You will find music to match many different moods – happy, sad, lively, romantic, Jazz, Pop, Latin, Ragtime, Classical, fun, serious, and many others. We hope you enjoy this latest addition to the Rich Martin musical library. Thanks for listening. | | Enslaved Monoumension CD (2001)
Tune Factory album
$13.15 Enslaved never achieved the amount of international notoriety or album sales of fellow Norwegian black metal stalwarts Emperor, Mayhem, or Immortal, but the band's work is just as important to the continued, forward-thinking evolution (or, more accurately, mutation) of the genre. Case in point: Monumension, an astounding, experimental record that transcends the "Viking metal" tag slapped on Enslaved earlier in its career, while still incorporating the historical Norse lyrical themes that have become the band's proud trademark. (Notably, the album also marks Enslaved's first recording with lyrics written and sung completely in English.) Sonically, Monumension mixes traditionally bitter-cold Scandinavian ideas with a hint of the hardcore-based tribal progressivism and generally transcendent feel of Neurosis. Enslaved's previous release, Mardraum, was a staggeringly overlooked and complex release sporting an organic, subterranean rumble that fulfilled the creative, chaotic limits of an all-heavy, all-the-time post-black metal undertaking -- a record that found the band honing its songwriting ...

A Mississippi blues treatment is given to “Deck the Halls,” and “Run Rudolf Run” scrambles and jumps rockabilly style. Skip’s “Evergreens” is a treat.--- Jeff Maisey, Virginian-Pilot, Dec. 5th, 2008"Virginia Beach songwriter Skip Friel teamed with his brother Randy Friel on "Evergreen Christmas" a 16-track collection of Yuletide favorites and new holiday tunes.
