SING, CHAPTER 1 is Wynonna's musical autobiography. Released to celebrate a quarter century in the music business (the Judds' first hit, "Why Not Me," hit the charts in 1984), SING, CHAPTER 1 features a full dozen standards hand-picked by Wynonna to signify different points in her musical life. Far from being merely a country album, the 12 tracks include R&B (Bill Withers's 1970s soul hit "Ain't No Sunshine"), Sun Records rockabilly (the oft-covered classic "I Hear You Knockin'"), Dusty Springfield-style pop (the Bacharach-David standard "Anyone Who Had A Heart"), and jazzy torch songs (the Nat King Cole classic "When I Fall In Love") along with Nashville nuggets like Hank Williams's "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry." The production, by longtime collaborator Don Potter and current country hitmaker Brent Maher is bright and burnished enough to fit comfortably on contemporary country radio, but Wynonna's increasingly soulful, lived-in vocal style touches the heart throughout.

$8.35 Ben Holt is a talented singer-songwriter based now on the sunny south coast of the UK. Ben began his musical career playing drums in local Bristol band 'Benny Profane' until a period of travelling the world took him away from the scene for some time. It was at this point that Ben began penning his own songs, albeit without any kind of musical instrument at the time. His creativity flowed whilst experiencing amazing places and a hidden maturity soon blossomed. The influences came thick and fast with The Beach Boys, The Beatles and the Britpop bands of the early to mid nineties getting an almost obsessive amount of CD wear and tear. ...
