| | Wow Gospel 2009 CD
Released in early 2009, this installment in the WOW GOSPEL series presents another fine two-disc collection of R&B-leaning, faith-based tunes. Standout tracks include Tye Tribbett & G.A.'s rousing "Stand Out," Nicole C. Mullen's hopeful "I Wish," and Marvin Sapp's stirring "Never Would Have Made It," all songs that reveal the vibrant state of contemporary gospel.

Wow Gospel 2009
$6.79 BODY KISS was nominated for the 2004 Grammy Award for Best R&B Album. "Busted" was nominated for Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals.
Looking to recapture the same success generated by the 2001 album ETERNAL, The Isley Brothers re-team with and hand off the majority of production duties to R. Kelly for 2003's BODY KISS. Although the group's name indicates a sibling venture with Ronald and Ernie Isley, guitarist Ernie's involvement is minimal. His only appearance is a signature guitar solo on the simmering slow jam "Take a Ride." Otherwise, Ronald, (who resurrects his fictional, ...

| | Raphael Saadiq Way I See It CD (2008)
Wow Gospel 2009
$11.39 Former Tony! Toni! Tone! member Raphael Saadiq proved he could push his sound in new and intriguing ways on solo albums like INSTANT VINTAGE, mixing in soul, gospel, and contemporary flourishes. Saadiq plants his foot more firmly in the past on 2008's THE WAY I SEE IT, offering up a set that recalls the classic sound of Motown and other Northern soul from the 1960s. Melody and groove are paramount on these songs, making each a little soul-pop nugget complete with old-school arrangements (it sounds as though Motown's the Funk Brothers are backing Saadiq throughout). In addition to excellent material, the singer welcomes Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, Joss Stone, and the Rebirth Brass Band as guests.

Wow Gospel 2009
$10.15 A performer who dares to be known by her real name, Chelsea Gregoire, born September 2, 1990, wishes to take the world by storm with her music. From the very beginning, music has been in her midst. She was raised as a genuine chorus kid, but by teaching herself in her early teenage years to play guitar, bass, piano, and other instruments, she slowly began to expand her horizons into songwriting and, later, recording. In the summer of 2005, Chelsea released a four song EP (untitled) with her first recordings, including songs such as "Hope You're Happy" and the soon-to-be-favorite, "Suck Ups and Pick Up Lines" (techno version). She was continually struggling, however, and took a two year hiatus to grow as a person, especially in (and out of) her faith, before writing and recording "A Soundtrack for a Fresh Start", her full length debut in 2007. Suddenly, her music took off, selling rapidly. The "Soundtrack" actually became ...
