The Action! was formed in the fall of 1998, in Syracuse, NY. Their music is a hard-to-classify blend of rock, ska, punk, and jazz. The Action!, formerly known as Skatos, has recorded two full-length albums; Skatalogical (1999), and Waiting For Tuesday (2001). They have appeared on the internationally released ska compilation Still Standing (Jump/Megalith), as well as the ska/punk compilation How I Punked Out Of Skallege (Red Dragon). The band also recorded and independently released an e.p. of demos called the 16 Hour E.P. and a live E.P. entitles We All Make Mistakes. The Action! also wrote and recorded a song used in local Syracuse commercials for the popular television show The Simpsons. The Action! has served as the opening act for such bands as Gym Class Heroes, Reel Big Fish, The Toasters, The Pietasters, Jimmies Chicken Shack, The Planet Smashers, The Slackers, Mustard Plug, and Sheila Devine. On stage, the band delivers a tight, adrenaline fueled performance that has remained unmatched by their musical peers. In 2003 the members of The Action! took a break from the band as school, jobs, and other projects made it increasingly harder to perform or rehearse regularly. However, in April of 2006 it was announced that they would reunite and organize a benefit show for their friend and bandmate Brandon Hall who was diagnosed with leukemia. The show was a great success, leading the band to start writing more and playing out again. In June 2008 the band recieved a Syracuse Area Music Award in the People's Choice catagory for Best Band. The Action!'s new full-length album, Exploding Radio, will be released December 2008! Action Exploding Radio Songs | 1. | Exploding Radio |

Exploding Radio album
$14.38 Glitter and Doom Live, a double-disc set, marks Tom Waits' third live effort in his nearly 40-year career, each one summing up his career to the point of its release. The first, Nighthawks at the Diner issued in 1975 on Asylum, is regarded by many as one of the greatest live albums of all time. The second was Big Time, released during his tenure at Island in 1986. The musical performances on disc one of Glitter and Doom Live were culled from Waits' historic sold-out tour of the U.S. and Europe. He compiled and sequenced the set himself, intending to make them sound like a single show. The material leans, understandably, on his recordings with the Anti label. There are stellar performances here, such as "Get Behind the Mule" from The Mule Variations, "Trampled Rose" from Real Gone, and a haunting version of Leadbelly's "Fannin Street" from Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards, to mention just three of the 17 cuts here. But he goes back to his Island albums too. For instance, there are completely re-visioned readings of "Lucky Day" and "I'll Shoot the Moon" from 1993's Black Rider, and a killer -- though equally revamped -- version of "Singapore" from 1985's Rain Dogs. Musically, the performances are flawless, as is the sound on this set. The killer stage band includes Vincent Henry on woodwinds and harmonica, guitarist ...
| | Sting If On A Winter's Night... CDs (2009) Digipak
Exploding Radio CD music
$14.19 It's no secret that Sting is a serious man, so it's only logical that his holiday album -- his first new music since the Police reunion, not that it really matters -- is a serious endeavor, thank you. No niceties for him, no comforts of carols; he favors formal over familiar, writing madrigals, not ditties. It is music made by someone who lives in a castle, which isn't necessarily such a bad thing: the austerity is genuine, not affected, and the cerebral nature of the album is fascinating, albeit mildly so, as this is as sleepy as it is thoughtful. And it's that thoughtfulness that does distinguish IF ON A WINTER NIGHT...; no other Christmas album exists in the head like this. It's a holiday album for people who have never wanted to hear a holiday album, let alone ...

Exploding Radio songs
$7.96 Within a couple years, Canadian teenager Justin Bieber went from covering Usher on YouTube to working with Usher. An internet sensation from his renditions of several pop and pop-oriented R&B hits, he was still only 15 years old when he released this, his first album -- though it's more like an EP since it is contains only seven songs that are 25 minutes in duration. Given ...

Exploding Radio album
$19.10 NEVER A DULL MOMENT picks up where EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY left off. Here we have more raucous rock & roll with healthy dollops of soul and twang thrown in for good measure. Always looking for a good songwriter to cover, Stewart's honorees here include Jimi Hendrix ("Angel"), Dylan ("Mama You Been On My Mind"), and Rod's personal hero, Sam Cooke ("Twistin' The Night Away"). Sidling up nicely next to these heartfelt interpretations are some of Stewart's finest ...

All of the songs are written by Dave Seamon and recorded by Dave Seamon, Sean Sklios, and Jeff Wallace (former member). Dave Seamon began writing songs in 2004. That same year, Sean Sklios picked up a guitar and in a matter of months, started playing virtuoso jazz pieces for his first cousin, Dave Seamon. After some time, Dave and Sean started to play original music together. Having performed original music and covers at both of Dave’s parents’ 50th birthday celebrations, the duo decided that the songs were truly meant for a band. And so it went that Dave and Sean found a friend named Mike Mendonez to add another guitar to the sound. Then they found a drummer and recording engineer named Jeff Wallace. Then they found a bassist named Nick Juliano. Then they found another guitarist named Evan Burke. The Dave Seamon Experiment had formed. In late 2006, Dave Seamon began thinking about the band’s first professionally recorded EP. They chose four of their best songs and recorded in a studio in central Jersey. The result of the 30 hours of studio time was an EP called “The Last Four Songs Before Intermission.” This EP sold out at their ...
