Vintage Songs Of Yosemite music CDs 'The Buddy Ebsen Story" chronicles the life of Buddy Ebsen from childhood until his passing in 2003 at the age of 95. His early success came as a dancer on Broadway, Vaudeville and in early movies dancing with the likes of Shirley Temple, Judy Garland and many other stars. Although he remains best-known for his characterizations of "Jed Clampett," on one of televisions all-time favorite shows, "The Beverly Hillbillies" and detective sleuth extraordinaire, "Barnaby Jones," Buddy's 75-year career in show business included inspired performances in every medium including over 50 film credits. You probably didn't know that Buddy was cast as the original Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz, so what happened? Find out in "The Buddy Ebsen Story". He was also Davy Crockett's side-kick in Disney's Davy Crockett movies and co-starred with Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard in "Breakfast at Tiffany's". In addition to his talents as a dancer, singer and actor, Buddy reveled in all forms of artistic expression. He created eight musicals, produced "Buddy's Originals," a CD of tunes that he wrote and sang as well as authored a book on sailing, a novel and his autobiography, "The Other Side of Oz." "The Buddy Ebsen Story," is an enlightening, informative and heartwarming biography of a wonderful man for all to enjoy.
