5 stars technical,intense, and awesome extreme metal
You know the old adage don't judge a book by its cover(or cd in this case)Well I thought this cd had a cool cover as I had seen a t-shirt with the cover art and thought it was cool.So I investigated the band and found I really enjoyed the music as well. It is extreme metal with a very progressive style,think rush or dream theater on steroids. The extreme vocal style is offset nicely by the instrumental arrangements and compliment each other nicely. It is a solid effort from beginning to end and is quite catchy and memorable for this type of music.

It's hard to not be impressed by the sheer sonic onslaught that is otherwise known as Nile. Except to the most hardened death metal fanatic, the genre has a way of sounding the same after a while, but Nile is one of the few exceptions -- able to put their own unmistakable fingerprints on this heavy duty style (Egyptian-influenced lyrics and musical bits, highly impressive instrumental dexterity, etc.).
