| | Focus Group EP CD Focus Group Discography of CDs
Focus Group has been surviving as a band for 3 years. Originally a collection of five members, university has reduced us to four. This apparent set back has proved to be a blessing in disguise, forcing us to switch instruments during shows, involve more complicated electronics and to try and compensate for the lost energy of an A.D.D. drummer. Despite our loss, we have thrived. We are building a following of faithful Austin fans and have begun reaching to San Antonio and San Marcos to try to expand this base. We are an eclectic collection of musicians with backgrounds spanning from classical tutelage to turn-table troubadour. What does it mean? It means good tidings from beyond the infinite.Best wishes from hot britches. All of the above. We are completely independent, we book, write, load/unload, drink, and love, all on our own. I really do hope you will take a few minutes off of cruising the web and listen. We have a brand new EP for sale for only $5 and its never too long in between shows. Please drop us a message no matter how absurd it may be. We want to be your fans, who just happen to play music. Focus Group EP Songs | 1. | Very Truly Yours |

Studios, Ibiza, Spain. Cretu being no fool, he figured if it worked the first time, no need to change things much for the second. But he also knew not to simply go ahead and just rehash his debut for Cross of Changes, resulting in a just different enough effort along the same overall lines. The usual air of tasteful middle-of-the-road spirituality takes precedence, right down to the cover art and appropriately pantheistic quote from Persian mystic poet Rumi in the CD booklet. Needless to say, the music attempts to match the same ...

$7.59 | | Nashville Pussy From Hell To Texas Vinyl LP (2009)
EP
$23.29 The most endearing quality behind Atlanta's dirty-rockin', sleaze-lovin' outfit Nashville Pussy is that they're the genuine article. When Blaine Cartwright and Co. sing about driving drunk and bemoan the puritanical state of modern-day America over Lynyrd Skynyrd-meets-Motorhead riffs, it's not some polished simulation of what rock & roll used to be. As best epitomized on standout cut "Late Great USA," HELL is as in touch with the filthy adolescence of raw punk energy as it is a clear homage to the boogie-centric, beer-guzzling tradition of Southern guitar bands. Toward the end of "I'm So High," Cartwright finds a new way to encapsulate his group's perversely lofty ambitions when he threatens to "take a s**t on the moon." Which is appropriate, since the moon may be the only thing bigger than Nashville's piss-and-vinegar stomp throughout TEXAS. Through four albums and relentless touring, Atlanta-based Dixie shock-rockers Nashville Pussy have built a well-oiled, dirty little empire both at home and abroad -- Googling their name without quotes yields at least three pages of relevant information before descending into a virus-laden chasm of amateur porn. The band's fifth full-length album does little to tarnish their reputation as hard-drinking, stripper-pole-grinding, pistol-wielding heathens from a Southern Gothic graphic novel. If anything, From Hell to Texas solidifies the group as America's answer to Motörhead: a streamlined, in-your-face wrecking crew that owns the bar as soon as they walk in, leaving its customers bloody, broken, and usually better for the experience. Musically, Nashville Pussy deliver ...
