| | Lainey Wright Count It Joy CD Lainey Wright Discography of CDs
What started out to be a little recording of a couple of songs last summer turned into “Count It Joy”, the first album of 17-year-old singer/songwriter Lainey Wright. For this project she was joined by a variety of talented musicians who live in the hill country outside Austin, Texas. What they all have in common is their faith in Jesus Christ, a common thread that weaves its way through refreshingly honest lyrics…lyrics that sing of hope in darkness, redemption in this life, faith that sometimes loses its way, and joy through the passage. The sound is a little Americana, a little folk, a little coffeehouse…quite a different sound than other music in the genre. Lainey is currently sharing her music in coffee houses across Texas. She is also back in the studio recording new music, which will eventually lead to a second album! As far as her future in music goes, she says she really doesn’t give it a lot of thought. “I figure if I just keep singing what God gives me…whatever happens happens, and it doesn’t get better than that!” Count It Joy Music | Category | Folk Albums | | Label | CD Baby | | CD Universe Part number | 7855600 | | Catalog number | 321071 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | Jan 15, 2008 |

Count It Joy music CDs
$12.59 Volume 2 of Gospel Sax features Herb Ryals on tenor saxophone, playing a variety of gospel songs and hymns that have been favorites for many years. Contact Herb Ryals via email at HerbRyalsMusic@yahoo.com.HERB RYALSIf you ask Herb Ryals when he first fell in love with music, he’d probably say “It must have happened when I was born. Herb recall his mother telling him that before he could talk, he would hum along with the songs constantly playing on the radio in the Ryals home. Both his mother and father could sing and his sisters were singing in perfect harmony as far back as Herb can remember. A native of Georgia, and being raised in the deep south, Herb was influenced by a broad range of singers and musicians (including big band, country, blues, rock and roll and more). His first performance was at the age of 3 where sang “God Bless America” at a cantata in Albany, Georgia. He taught himself to play piano and saxophone while still a teenager and was playing professionally by the age of 18. At 20, he landed his first recording contract with a newly-formed record label in Memphis, Tn. Known as Pepper Records. He recorded a remake of the standard “ Heart and Soul”, which was successful enough to send him on tour with artists Frankie Avalon, Chuck Berry, Johnny Horton, Ferlin Huskey and many others. Herb worked as a singer, songwriter and musician in Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, New Orleans and New York. He recorded “The Luckiest Guy” and “Suzanne” (with Jerry Willis) on Dot Records in 1961 (both songs which had considerable success in Europe). In 1968, Herb recorded “Like the falling Rain” released on RCA Victor and “Goodbye Maria” was recorded in the early 70”s (released on Atco Records). When Elvis Was in Germany, Herb played live with Elvis’ backing band members, Bill Black and Scotty Moore. Several of Herb’s songs were recorded by other artists, such as Arthur Alexander and Roy Hamilton. Herb ahas worked with top producers such as Noel Ball in Nashville (who produced hits “Sugar Shack”, “You Better Move On” and “Anna”). In New York, he worked with producer Paul Vance (who produced hits “Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini” and “catch a falling Star”). In ...

| | Katie O'Brien Celtic Harp On The Prairie CD (2009)
Count It Joy album
$13.15 Celtic Harp On The Prairie is a wonderful musical tribute to the 19th century Irish men, women, and children who came to America seeking a new life. Imagine an Irish girl named Katie O'Brien entertaining the guests in an Old West saloon, and you'll get an idea of the song selections on this album. Katie's CD features both traditional Irish and traditional American tunes on Celtic harp. In her arrangements you'll sometimes hear the stylistic characteristics of the parlor piano, which was so popular in 19th century America. This piano like playing can be heard on tunes such as "Listen to the Mockingbird" and "Shenandoah", and "Aura Lee".The Stephen Foster medley brings together three charming songs: "Oh! Susanna", "Beautiful Dreamer", and "Jeannie With The Light Brown Hair".Life for settlers in the Old West was fraught with many hardships, and a tune like "Whispering Hope" would provide comfort at times of sorrow. Tunes from Ireland include such gems as "Planxty Irwin", "Boulavogue", "The Fanaid Grove", "Maurice O'Connor", "Haste To The Wedding", and "Sheebeg Sheemore".Saloon guests would demand waltzes, and this album serves up some rare choices like "Starry Waves" and "Persian Princess Waltz" ...
