Rareflix Triple Feature Vol. 4: Boogie Vision/Lighting Bolt/Transformed DVDs (1966)
Saw Doctors - Clare Island To Cape Cod: The Saw Doctors In Concert movie Fans of obscure films will rejoice as Rareflix puts together another triple feature of celluloid that might otherwise have slipped away (and probably should have). The collection kicks off with BOOGIEVISION, a nonsensical dope-fueled ride through what passed as 1970s fodder for the drive-in make-out crowd. Then it’s time for Antonio Margheriti’s LIGHTNING BOLT, a spaghetti-spy film full of enough bad James Bond rip-offs to inspire a drinking game--and hilarious dubbing to match. Finally, the collection finishes up with TRANSFORMED, a martial arts extravaganza starring Fred Williamson and destined to achieve cult status. All three films are schlocky, over-the-top, and a lot more fun than surfing through bad cable.
Rareflix continues its search for obscure cinema, unearthing another trio of forgotten films from the past. First up is BOOGIE VISION, a GROOVE TUBE inspired time capsule from James Bryan (DON'T GO IN THE WOODS) mocking all manner of television broadcasts. Next is LIGHTNING BOLT, a 1966 James Bond inspired Euro spy thriller from director Antonio Margheriti (VIRGIN OF NUREMBERG). And finally, TRANSFORMED, a never-before-released action film starring Fred Williamson (THE NEW BARBARIANS, FROM DUSK TILL DAWN) and directed by Leo Fong (REVENGE OF THE BUSHIDO BLADE). Rareflix proudly brings these lost classics to DVD for the first time ever!
