Know Your Enemy album
$14.38 Glitter and Doom Live, a double-disc set, marks Tom Waits' third live effort in his nearly 40-year career, each one summing up his career to the point of its release. The first, Nighthawks at the Diner issued in 1975 on Asylum, is regarded by many as one of the greatest live albums of all time. The second was Big Time, released during his tenure at Island in 1986. The musical performances on disc one of Glitter and Doom Live were culled from Waits' historic sold-out tour of the U.S. and Europe. He compiled and sequenced the set himself, intending to make them sound like a single ...

Know Your Enemy CD music
$11.49 It was in the winter of 2004 that Australian saxophonist Nick Hempton stumbled off a plane at JFK airport in New York, and made his way back into that hotbed of modern jazz- Manhattan. He immediately embarked upon a game of musical "Cull-or-Keep", sizing up the many and abundantly talented rhythm-section players on offer. The goal: to assemble a group of musicians whose talent, experience, originality, and ability to communicate was unequaled, let alone surpassed. This is how it happened... The first step was the rekindling of Nick's musical relationship with drummer Dan Aran. The two had performed regularly at informal sessions at Arturo's restaurant in Greenwich Village, and shared a similar musical philosophy. They engaged in a series of late night "band meetings" at a local bar and emerged, heroes of many a well-fought bottle, with a vision and a musical direction. The drive continued. The next recruit was Italian-born Double Bassist Marco Panascia. Generously endowed, musically speaking, 'the stand-up cooker' is known for his great big sound, rock-solid time keeping, melodic soloing and innate sense of swing. He slotted into the group effortlessly, both musically and personally, and the ...

Know Your Enemy music CDs
$16.39 The band Whiskey Train formed in Medford, NJ, in June of 2006, when vocalist/guitarist Kenny Curcio decided to put some songs he had written on CD. Instead of recording himself with a guitar, he opted to bring in some instrumental help to give his musical ideas more depth.Kenny found assistance in multi-talented piano/percussion player Johnny DeAngelis. At a very young age, Johnny played several years in his fathers cover band, and his passion for music was unmistakable. After recording a six song demo, and receiving vast positive feedback, they decided to form a band and continue to write their own music. In July of 2006, lead guitar player, and former jazz musician, Dominic Grosso was asked to join the band. Dom was enthused by the idea, and his excitement and unique style of play instantly gelled with the newly born sound that was coming to be. But there were still two pieces missing. In mid August of 2006 the finishing touch emerged; Bart Riley on drums, and Brett Riley on bass. Found through a mutual friend, the twin ...
