$10.09 "Darkthrone is for all the evil in man," proclaims the back cover of Transilvanian Hunger, the Norwegian group's fourth release -- but more controversial is the proclamation that contained within was "Norsk Arisk Black Metal," loosely translated, "Norwegian Aryan Black Metal." One would have to be fluent in Norwegian to understand whether or not Transilvanian Hunger boasts a racist agenda, since ...

Imrama music CDs
$12.49 Having taken longer than most of Gothenburg, Sweden's death metal giants to reveal their greatness, Dark Tranquility have now arguably become that ever-popular subgenre's most enduring torch-bearers -- the living embodiment of melodic death metal midway through the '00s. And, in keeping with that station, 2005's Character marks the third installment of what most agree has been the band's most consistent career-phase; one which finds them, like other genre standard-bearers ...

Imrama music CDs
$11.39 Under Aspect, a sound tainted with heavy riffs and addictive melodies, invites new-metal fans to see a whole new universe of hard pounding music. Inspired by bands such as Deftones, Sevendust, Tool, Portishead, Chevelle, Korn and Killswitch Engage, the five piece band quickly cooked the right recipe to get a warm place among the enormous Montreal music scene. With over 50 scenic apparitions for their first year playing together, they earned the price for the band with the most impressive performances in the 2006-2007 MAD production’s tour presented by Musique Plus. This mention gave them a chance to show a big audience what they could do on the Club Soda’s Stage by performing their piece of resistance Click! Bang! & Goodbye. This very same piece opens with energy their new album «Became Mechanical». This first opus was entirely produced by the five members who felt the need to evolve freely in their art. The finished, yet not mastered project, was put in the hands of Jeff Fortin, guitarist for Anonymus (Galy Records) who added the professional spice in Hugues Bouchard’s work, young drummer of the formation (Rec productions). The chemistry that unites the five protagonists offers a totally new aspect of what a show signifies to some people. The interaction with the crowd seems to be right formula which the band adopted throughout ...
| | Esoteric Doctrine Celestial Surroundings Of Aerial Endings CD (2009)
Imrama songs
$16.45 Esoteric Doctrine is a band, spawning under influences of purely question, anger, and the knowledge of being unaware.Conversing untouchable subject from where they stand in their music, they look to grow as a name and presence in the music world. With the abstract sounds of aching notes and the darkness of goring damaged lungs, rehearsing some sort of literature created from far away seats to what's going on in the world.Max Kane, knowing Aaron Mangoff could replicate the intense sounds of hate he wanted to create, and express an entire different feel under the same context in the subject's direction. The two musicians blend their different tastes, to create a mouthful of noise some claim to be "un-heard-of". Lucky enough in a town full of musicians they found two unoccupied musicians to collect the missing pieces of what stood in the way of Max and Aaron's progression. Aaron met Alex Reid at a local adult learning centre in discussion of music after noticing the guy rockin to tunes on basically everything. They set up a jam session to see if there would be that certain chemistry sure enough a second jam would follow into a rehearsal and soon the three had enough songs to set goals. After forming in 2006 as a duo and reaching a third member by the end of that year, they found Kyle Cotter a bassist with drive and memorization without hesitation, and carried on becoming a full band officially on Canada Day 2007. After two solid years under the original band name "Reign", The band decided it was time for a demo cd, but they didn't want their first product to have that basement sound, they wanted to work towards an accomplishing sound quality and release a solid sound for a first impression. After ...
