| A Classic For The Ages In the Court of the Crimson King album for sale Quite simply, one of the greatest albums ever. In the Court of the Crimson King CD music From Fripp's guitar to Lake's great voice, this is the best Crimson until the latter day formation with Bruford, Belew and Levin. The remastering brings the sound up to date and the whole album feels fresh. McDonald's flute on "I Talk To The Wind" is a revelation alongside Lake's great voice. "21st Century", "Moonchild", the forever under-rated "Epitaph" and the title song are all here along with the wonderful poetry of Peter Sinfield, who later worked with Lake in Emerson Lake and Palmer and was a part of the early work of Roxy Music. There are many albums worth owning in the Crimson library, but if you don't own this one, your music collection has a big hole. | classic album conception and execution In the Court of the Crimson King buy CD music We are now in the 21st century and we are more schizoid than we could have imagined. My 19 year old son thinks this album is great. By chnelson3 (urbana, il) This review is for a different format. |
| A musical journey In the Court of the Crimson King songs This is perhaps one of the greatest prog rock albums of them all. "21st century schizoid man" is hard rock, but it's not! It's just totally out there and the music reflects the title. "I talk to the wind" is one of the most mellow and well crafted songs ever. And the rest of the album is so good to listen to - though I'm damned if I know what it's supposed to be about! It's just another great example of the experimental music of the 1960s. | Great This is one of the best albums i've listened to in my short life... It is so different from everything else... People should pay more attention to this kind of music, because modern rock makes me sad. By jdmelo (Manizales, Colombia) This review is for a different format. |
