XBox 360 Halo 3: Odst

 Halo but different
First off the story line is ok but very basic. There's new feats like map mode which now you have to rely on to move around the city and find our way. But it seems that every block I turn the corner its just the same block. Not much to the imagination its all the same. Every block is the same!! BORING! The game is so dark you have the option to turn on your visor so you can see your enemies turn red (friends turn green) and everything else,yellow it brightens up the levels but the whole game play is in a yellow tint which gets real annoying after awhile. The new firefight is cool its pretty much horde in Gears of War but theres achievements you can get. Over all its a disappointment in the Halo series

 Too short and bad gameplay
Campaign is too short. I finished it in 6-7 hours. The inability to carry Health Kits with you in 26th century is a total joke. This is a real problem during fights and I had to leave in the middle of a fight, backtrack 2 blocks to find a Health station and then come back to fight again. Graphics are subpar compared to Halo 3; there's no anti-aliasing in ODST. Loading is a nightmare if you don't install the game on your HDD.

 Good Game But Too Short

 Too hard and boring
I'm no Halo expert but this game is just too hard on Normal difficutly for me. There's too many Brutes to kill and not enough ammo to kill them unless the idea is to constantly use covenant weapons. There's just so many Brutes around compared to the other Halo games that taking this on by yourself will be a challenge. You have to use health packs in this game instead of your shields regenerating. I find myself always running for them. The running for cover and health packs is boring and annoying also as the enemy has good accuracy and your character seems like a little girl how he's always panting when you get shot. I put the game on easy but its too easy for me. On the other hand, the Firefight mode is pretty fun and somewhat related to Horde from Gears of War 2. Its fun but the problem is that there is no matchmaking to play online with other people. You must invite your friends to play this mode or you can play 2 player Firefight on one tv or 4 players over system link. Why not 4 player firefight on one tv? I don't see what's so hard about that concept. Halo has always been about 4 player multiplayer but this is stupid. I don't think this game is good enough to recommend to my friends to buy so I'll have someone to play Firefight with. The game does come with Halo 3 multiplayer on a seperate disc with 24 maps. I guess thats the coolest part of this game if you don't own the Halo 3 original. 3 Stars for ODST...the open world concept is cool but there's too much running around and the map isnt very easy to read. Too hard on medium for me and I'm usually good at shooters. I think you have to take a different strategy in this game to make it fun. You can't just jump into the middle of a group of enemies and expect to come out alive unless you spend way too much time playing Halo.

 ODST Blues
The story line gameplay is cool. Firefight is okay but where is matchmaking? I wanted to see how different matchmaking is as an ODST instead of a Spartan. The additional maps are okay but I feel like this is 2/3rds a Halo game and not a complete game. Hopefully Reach does not fall short.
