Meanwhile, Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss), and Seraph (Collin Chou) confront the ruthless Merovingian (Lambert Wilson) to secure Neo's release. As the fight for Zion grows more dire, Neo and Trinity embark on a perilous journey into the heart of the machine city, while Morpheus and Niobe (Jada Pinkett Smith) rush to Zion's aid. Eventually, Neo must face the increasingly powerful Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) in a last battle for the fate of humanity. Highlights of the film include Niobe's thrilling spaceship piloting, the armored battle for Zion, and Neo's inevitable brawl with Smith, all of which feature amazing special effects. I've leanred my lesson. Whenever I hear critics pooh-pooh a movie I'm interested in, I'll make it a point to run out and see it! I did not see this film in the theatre bucause of bad reviews. My mistake. I'm now glad I own the DVD so I can pour over every detail of this movie again and again. Critics be damned!

They should've stopped at #2, #3 was garbage. The moves were old and predictable,the plot was weak, and action was minimized. If I can't give it away I am going to throw it away.

Where the 1st was one of the best movies ever, this has to be the worst. 2/3 of movie is an 80's style robot jox battle scene with huge machines that just doesn't end. The rest is about neo christian spin that destroys the very philosophy that made the first appealing. Pity the crap is real not an illusion!!!

This was the best of the 3,plenty of action and suspense, amazing special effects and a lot less confusing than Reloaded.
I give this one the thumbs up.
