| search is over..
i've been looking for this album on and off for over 25years..when i first heard the title name "moon shadow" i was dumb found, i had borrowed this album 25yrs ago and made the mistake of sharing it with a fellow musician which then misplaced it.. but i'm happy to say it's great to finally hear this music again for the first time.. patti's awesome..

| THE 'BADNESS' THAT IS MOONSHADOW
MOONSHADOW was made in the early stages of Labelle's development: pre-'spacesuit' era. The cuts are smooth and fierce! Sadly, this album received very little in the U.S. However, in Europe it was what today's youth would call 'the bomb!' That's because even still today, the U.S. record industry is more concerned with a 'hit,' and how much money can be earned versus the breath and depth of the music. You will take special note of what Patti, Nona, and Sarah did with Cat Steven's MOONSHADOW. Cat wrote the selection, and performed it as a folk song. Labelle gave it SPIRIT & SOUL! Enjoy!
