The Southern Kill was born in late July of 2007. Jojo, Justin, and Jeff are originally from Santa Fe, Texas. Colby moved to Houston, Texas when he was 6 from Little Rock, Arkansas. The three J’s had past musical experiences with one another which led them to form a brotherhood of sorts. When the band that they had originally formed decided to go their separate ways the three J’s decided to continue playing without a lead vocalist. The crew went without a lead vocalist for nearly a year! The band went through numerous vocal tryouts until Colby took a good whack at it in mid 2007. At first styles seemed to clash and both parties had mixed feelings about playing music with one another. A week later they decided to give it another shot and so was born the song we call Cancer. From that day forward it has been the top priority of The Southern Kill to strive to be the best Rock N’ Roll band they could be. They are constantly focusing on their main objective. First and foremost to creating music that they love. They want everyone to take what they will from their music with the understanding that there is always an underlying message. “Outside the lines is where we reside.” –T.S.K.-The Widing Way consists of the sounds and emotions that we as a band went through in our first year of playing together. BIOGRAPHY OF LUCY DEUTSCHLucy Deutsch is a child Holocaust survivor who is devoted to inspire others, and it is something she still practices daily. For the past 20 years she has evolved to become an accomplished novelist, poet, as well as a writer for screen, stage, and a song writer. She has successfully balanced her fine leather goods manufacturing business of 25 years known as “Lutci of California” with her creative works, but her primary love is writing. Born in Irshava, Czechoslovakia, Ms. Deutsch now resides in Los Angeles. A mother of two children, Michael and Lisa, and a grandmother, she is living the American dream. She finds that her inner source of creativity is so overwhelming, that it constantly reinforces her quest to continue writing. Now retired from her manufacturing business, she has a positive mission ahead--to bring her creative works to the public. She wrote a song during the 1991 Persian Gulf War Crisis, “The Proud American” for which she appeared on CNN. She received a personal letter from General H. Norman Schwarzkopf thanking her for the song. Always available to lecture on the atrocities that existed in death camps during World War II, she spoke at Hadassah, the Anti-Defamation League, and at B’nai B’rith. In addition, she has spoken in many schools about her experiences. The children were very eager to learn about a child’s fight for life in the Holocaust.Her recent works include a musical stage play, “No Time To Weep”, which is still a work in progress. It is about a journey from a happy childhood into the Holocaust. She has also completed several screenplays, “The Tool”, about a futuristic medical invention, “Alliance by Design”, a story about the Israeli and Palestinian conflict, and “The Mission from Onius”, a science-fiction story, where scientists from different planets search for the secret of inherent human evil, for which she ...
