| | Mike Addington Horizon And Main CD Mike Addington Discography of CDs
A small town in the Southern Rockies is hardly where you would expect to find a talent like Mike Addington, but it's Red River, NM he calls home now. A singer/songwriter and guitarist, Mike moved to Red River after plying his trade in the Los Angelos area for many years. It's almost as if he had to move to an isolated town with a population of less than 500 to get the recognition he has long deserved. Mike never questioned what he would "be" when he grew up. Mike still recalls the moment he walked into his family kitchen and saw his dad with the guitar. He knew at then, at age six, he would "be" a musician. Watching his Uncle Hobie on banjo and dad on guitar, Mike learned chord changes and met his first mistress - music. Listening to Mike's music, you know this man has paid his dues and is a cum laude graduate of "Honkey-tonk U." He's equally adept with both acoustic and electric guitar, but it's his ability to wrench your gut with finely penned lyrics and music that speak to our universally shared emotions. "Horizon and Main" was recorded in Alamosa, CO at Howlin' Dog Recording by Don Richmond, a one man band if ever there was one. Although the recording took about a year, this CD was decades in the making. All music & lyrics on "Horizon and Main" were written by Mike. | | Alan Jackson Precious Memories CD (2006)
Horizon And Main CD music
$11.29 On 2006's PRECIOUS MEMORIES, country superstar Alan Jackson ventures into gospel territory, offering up a set of warm and inviting faith-themed songs. These spare tracks feature no percussion and rely almost solely on piano and acoustic guitar, allowing the focus to remain on Jackson's resonant vocals and the songs' devoutly Christian lyrics. Although praising Jesus is clearly the core of this album, the beautifully minimalist renderings of spiritual classics are so soothing and pleasant that the disc's appeal is sure to extend to fans of Jackson's secular ...

Cassidy, a native of Washington D.C., gained local favor with her pure, straightforward tone and her lovely, tasteful interpretations of everything from standards to gospel to contemporary pop.
SONGBIRD is a definitive best-of selection that picks from Cassidy's studio albums and shows the depth and breadth of her skills. SONGBIRD's perfection as a compilation is in its song choice, which covers Cassidy's takes on gospel ("Oh, Had I A Golden Thread"), soul ...

Horizon And Main songs
$36.79 Gong performed the soundtrack for Continental Circus, Jerome Laperrousaz's film about the 1970 Grands Prix 500cc. Laperrousaz also collaborated with Gilli Smyth on the compositions, which are tighter and more intricate than the band's previous release, Magick Brother. This is possibly the smallest number of musicians involved on any Gong project, and it shows in the sound of the music -- straightforward progressive rock with no surprises. Keys and synth are kept to a minimum as the band plunges forth with the standard guitar, bass and drums. Malherbe's playing (sax/flute) has not yet moved to the forefront, and the band ...
