One of the best action films of all time
This is a seriously under-rated, but brilliant film. No element is ignored in a superb portrait of the troubles of the Raj in the last days of the 19th century. It is a Western of the East.
The whole picture boils down to a wonderful suspense film, featuring a Train with a mind of it's own, a clever and fanatical villain, and a lot of "stiff upper lip".
The greatest scene in British Film History ? ....The discovery of the Indian Train, and the massacred passengers. Just feel the poignancy of that moment.... Submitted by JohnWBournemouth (Bournemouth, Dorset, England) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo This review is for a different format.
