Turney & Jordan was founded in June of 1993, by guitarist/vocalist James William (Will) Turney and vocalist Timothy A. Jordan. After rehearsing together for a couple of months they decided to form a band. That bands name was The Vine. The Vine became a semi-successful band in and around the Central Valley of California, playing most of the major venues such as the Madera and Fresno Fairs, and managing a television appearance on a local CBS affiliate. The Vine recorded and released a thirteen song CD in November of 2000 entitled Photosynthesis. While The Vine has been disbanded for nearly five years, the nucleus of the band and two primary singer songwriters continue to collaborate together under the moniker Turney & Jordan. At the present date Turney & Jordan are polishing off a thirty-two song two disc set entitled Relics scheduled for release in early 2010. $9.59 His journey begins... In the mid seventies, when revolutionary parties like the The Loft, The Gallery and later, Paradise Garage were defining the burgeoning culture, Andre was getting his 1st taste of NYC nightlife. At age 15, he started sneaking into The Gallery(legendary dj/remixer Nicky Siano's residency), where he discovered his calling...& his tribe. He had to become a sound tech/engineer first. A Radio Shack turntable, 8-track and a cheap amp would have to do until his parents gave him his 1st set of pitch-controlled Technics turntables. His record collection began here too, growing to eventually include everything from alternative rock to house music. He'd play anywhere he was allowed, showing a commitment and tenacity that earned him a devoted following. The 80's would mark Andre's ascent to the top of the underground dance music scene beginning with his ongoing relationship with legendary promoters Mike Stone and Charles Jackson, residencies and guest spots at the hottest venues(they included:Midtown 43, Tracks, The Marc Ballroom & the Tunnel). He received membership in the prestigious 'For The Record'record pool and even served a stint as a Billboard reporter. The 90's opened new opportunities for him to play his passion. Successes included a celebrated residency at Better Days, where he shared the booth with his friend, the late David Cole(C+C Music Factory), who programmed the sampler. Collaborations with Charles Jackson led ...

$7.49 "Starting with the first track "Fringe", which is full of strong riffs and killer vocals, The Fallen sure has promise. But it's not until the song "Warsong" that the band really shows you what they can do. The riffs are tight and razor sharp, the vocals brutal with a touch of melody, and with really cool effects kicking in the industrial side. The rest of the E.P. follows suit with strength and brutality, but with melodicism that reminds me of older In Flames and Hypocrisy." - Dustin Ekman (Funeral Rain Zine - http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=468037239&blogId=490516751)------------"The Fallen, a six songs EP from the Canadian band The Black Bridge, has two main traits that make this condensed piece of Metal creation fairly distinguishable even as soon as the first spin is over. The first one is the voice, the second is the diversity of musical styles.A little intrigued at first by the not so typical Death Metal voice displayed on the first song, Fringe, your reviewer quickly got used to the gritty vocal performance as the songs went on. Upon a second listening the different nuances of the voice became a whole lot clearer, ranging from Death Metal growls with a nice twist of digital distortion to a not completely unleashed but still deranged Black Metal–ish sort of screams on Empty Spaces and Hypocrisy just to close the show with an almost tortured vociferation on the Doom-ish outro Oblivion. A quite nice and refreshing experience with some cool screams here and there which could, if not wake up the dead from the grave, then at least make you scratch the paint off your wall with your bare fingers in a positive way. But try to be cautious. The music is as diverse as the voice. Fringe is a catchy and straightforward Melodic Death Metal tune with epic hints reminiscent of good (old) Insomnium. Warsong and Hypocrisy made your reviewer’s mind spring to the industrial Black Metal trademark of The Kovenant with a particular preference for the lead guitar bursts on Hypocrisy. The epic feeling ...
