Recorded live at The Shepherd's Bush Empire, London, England in November 1997.
Just what is this mysterious organization known as the Goblins' Club? If a brief, cryptic passage within the album's liner notes is any clue, we can surmise that goblins are those who perceive a fissure in the veil of reality.
GOBLINS' CLUB pairs Edgar Froese with his son, Jerome, and is for the most part a major-key exercise in heroic motifs and choral backings. "At Darwin's Motel" layers Sanskrit vocals over synthesizers and a steady techno beat, while "United Goblins Parade" is a graceful, expansive track with anthemic ambitions.
CD reissue of this title from the innovative German Electronica outfit, one of the most influential instrumental outfits of the 20th century. Tangerine Dream has never produced anything calculated to make the masses jump off their chairs and start screaming Top 40 tunes, but they have managed to have an immense impact in the world of Electronic and soundtrack music. Their 107 (and counting) studio, live and soundtrack releases have their own driving hypnotic pieces that might differ from release to release, but they are all uniquely Tangerine Dream. Document. 2009.

Valentine Wheels
$14.49 Buoyed by the popularity of the hit contemporary pop ballad "Home," singer Michael Bublé's 2005 album, IT'S TIME, clearly positioned the vocalist as the preeminent neo-crooner of his generation. Easily the singer's most stylistically wide-ranging album so far, 2009's CRAZY LOVE is also one of his brightest, poppiest, and most fun. Bublé kicks things off with the theatrical, epic ballad "Cry Me a River" ...

Valentine Wheels
$12.85 After the initial shock fades, the existence of CHRISTMAS IN THE HEART seems perhaps inevitable. After all, the thing Bob Dylan loves most of all are songs that are handed down from generation to generation, songs that are part of the American fabric, songs so common they never seem to have been written. These are the songs Dylan chooses ...
| | Pink Martini Splendor In The Grass CD (2009) Digipak
Valentine Wheels
$13.39 Pink Martini follow the around-the-world-in-a-dozen-songs thrills of HEY EUGENE! with SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS, a mellower, simpler set of small pleasures. These are relative terms, however; the group's music is still well-traveled, with China Forbes singing in five languages (English, Spanish, Neapolitan, French, and Italian) instead of the six or so on EUGENE!. However, Pink Martini opt for a more unified sound here, one that draws on the more straightforward lounge-pop of their debut, SYMPATHIQUE, and the mellowness of '60s and '70s pop. SPLENDOR IN THE GRASS' first half is especially ...

After realizing they shared many similar musical interests James invited Steve to an open jam held in the basement of a friend’s house in the Oakland hills affectionately known as the ‘The Hootenanny’. In a scene similar to an episode of ‘Hee Haw’ James, whom was playing guitar and dobro at the time, and Steve enjoyed themselves while sharing many Early-Roots and Americana songs. James, in addition to playing guitar and fronting his band ‘Densa’, had decided to learn to play drums due to chronic hand pain. James suggested to Steve that they start a jam at the Missing Link Co-op, where James worked and could set up his drums in the after hours. The Missing Link jams continued for a while and loosely formed a band called ‘The Wellies’ with rotating members such as; Jay Larson on guitar and slide, and Rich Melton on bass - most of ...

$13.15 Born and raised in the Mississippi river town of Quincy, Illinois, BAKER began performing as a singer/songwriter in his early teens and spent several years performing with rock bands in night clubs and bars.In the mid-90’s, he recorded and released an album for an Illinois-based independent label. The album was a regional success -- several songs received attention from radio -- generating airplay on over a dozen large and small radio stations across the Midwest. As a result, BAKER was invited to perform on numerous television and radio shows and had the opportunity to share the stage with artists such as Ted Nugent, Tommy Shaw, REO Speedwagon, Warren Zevon, Waylon Jennings and Randy Newman. One of the songs on this album, The Great River, was featured in a PBS documentary, as well as several different video documentaries about the Misssissippi river and was also used heavily in media coverage of the floods in the Midwest. BAKER has performed live on more than 20 regional radio and television stations including major markets such as Chicago, St. Louis and Los Angeles. Fascinated by the Nashville songwriting industry, BAKER moved to Music City in 1998. After spending several years playing writers nights with his acoustic guitar, he found himself ...
