Fifteen years later, Pixies answer the nagging question, "What became of the rest of the demos?" While many of them appeared on bootlegs, this nine-song collection is a useful document for die-hard Pixies fans, not only because it compiles all the remaining demos in one place, but because it also sheds some light on the band's creative process. ...See Full Description

| A treat for Pixies completists... It doesn't get any better than the Pixies... these are the original versions of about half the songs that were recorded for their initial demo (the "Purple Tape") -- the other half were released as "Come On Pilgrim" All but one song resurfaced on other Pixies albums, usually rerecorded or reworked. A reminder of how great music could be back in the day. Buy this instead of the new Breeders album. By a reviewer (Dayton OH) This review is for a different format. |
| Wonderful The CD is short but the version of "Here comes your man" is awsome By alexrcduarte (Sao Paulo, SP, Brazil) This review is for a different format. |
