When their daughter leaves home, an Argentine couple starts to question their lives and marriage. While Martha (Cecilia Roth, ALL ABOUT MY MOTHER) goes back to school to cope, her husband, Leonardo (Oscar Martinez), disappears into an all-consuming fantasy life. LOST EMBRACE's Daniel Burman directs this comic drama set in Buenos Aires. Empty Nest Reviews: "[Burman] has an enjoyable frisky eye for comic detail and never takes his protagonist's dilemma so seriously that we lose the playfulness of his mind-over-memory construct."-- Robert Abele, Los Angeles Times "The 35-year-old Burman's winning decision is to take a light touch with Leonardo's ennui, without getting cute or condescending."-- Nicolas Rapold, Film Comment

$22.59 High school romance is difficult enough to navigate when both people are human. But for 17-year-old Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart, INTO THE WILD) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson, HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE), Edward's life as a vampire complicates things even more. At first, when Bella moves from sunny Phoenix to the rainiest corner of Washington State, she isn't sure where she fits in at her new high school. Then she meets Edward, an ethereal beauty of a boy whose unnatural speed and strength lead Bella to the conclusion that her new crush is one of the undead. Suddenly, ...

Into this idyll a villain must come, and Captain (Rahul Dev)--who shoots first and then sits down by the corpse to read comic books--does not disappoint. Now on the run with the sought-after camera, Ray and Simi scour photos for clues and wonder whether their future is predetermined or if it can change. Ray and Simi’s desperate flight takes them from Mumbai to Bangkok, through double-crosses and encounters with double agents, from airplanes to hotel rooftops and a gangsters’ hideout. But when the armed thugs, joined by Simi in a fedora and a troupe of waitresses in red-and-white cheerleader outfits, launch into a delirious happy-hour dance, AA DEKHEN ZARA reveals the heart of Bollywood hidden within the international intrigue.
Starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bipasha Basu, this Bollywood film makes a delicious masala out of a variety of genres: romance, thriller, fantasy, and, of course, musical. When photographer Ray Acharya (Mukesh) inherits a camera from his grandfather, he is initially unaware of its powers. But with the help of the camera he soon climbs the ladder of success, and meets a woman (Basu) who will steal his heart. However, this new life has its drawbacks as well, and Ray realizes that he may now be in the midst of a battle between good and evil.
First-time director Jehangir Surti keeps the action moving in AA DEKHEN ZARA, a sci-fi thriller about a camera that takes pictures of the future. Photographer Ray (Neil Nitin Mukesh of JOHNNY GADDAAR), down on his luck after his camera is stolen by jungle warlords, inherits a miraculous old camera from his grandfather. It’s not much use as a tool of Ray’s trade, since the photographs he develops in the red light of his darkroom reveal ...

Empty Nest film
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar (HERA PHERI) stars in this sci-fi-fueled film. In 8X10 TASVEER, a man has the ability to see the past, a power which he can use to change the world around him.
The clear, shimmering light of the Canadian Rockies lends a look not often seen in Bollywood films to the exteriors of 8X10 TASVEER, but writer-director Nagesh Kukunoor prefers to send the camera away from the stunning mountain scenery to lurk instead in shadowy attics, in dingy apartments, under a lake, and in the past, which may be the darkest place of all. Kukunoor, known for character-driven dramas such as IQBAL and DOR, seems to be aiming this time for something completely different--a suspenseful supernatural eco-thriller.
Forest ranger Jai Puri (Akshay Kumar, looking equally at ease chasing down bad guys and playing straight man to an oddball cop) has a secret: he can look into photographs and see things that happened to the people in them. Jai uses his power only reluctantly, partly because doing so takes a terrible physical toll, and partly because he knows that claiming to see the past make people think he’s crazy. When Jai’s father, an oilman estranged from his environmentalist son, dies suddenly on his yacht, Jai learns of his father’s recent change of heart about the oil business. He also gets a visit from obsessive-compulsive policeman (Jaaved Jaaferi in scene-stealing mode, wearing dust-free ...
