The remarkable true story of one soldier's death in battle, another soldier's journey of discovery and a nation's reverence and gratitude toward its war dead. After hearing of the heroic death of a young Marine in Iraq, veteran officer Lt. Colonel Michael Strobl (Kevin Bacon) volunteers to escort the remains of Lance Corporal Chance Phelps back to his hometown, where he embarks on an unexpected emotional journey. In this drama, Kevin Bacon stars as a high-ranking military officer who takes on a surprising mission: he escorts the body of a PFC home to his family. Taking Chance Reviews: "[T]his is not a political movie. It focuses as rigidly as a slow salute on the rituals that honor the military dead."-- Kirk Honeycutt, Hollywood Reporter Taking Chance | List Price | $19.97 (You save $5.58) | | Studio | Warner Home Video | | Orig Year | 2009 | | All Time Sales Rank | 8255 | | CD Universe Part number | 7907465 | | Catalog number | 1000041186 | | Discs | 1 | | Release Date | May 12, 2009 | | Rating | Not Rated | | Running Time | 90 Minutes | | Additional Info | Full Frame; Subtitled | | Movie Details | Color; Full Frame; Subtitled |
Taking Chance Movie Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) Great For anyone who has ever lost a brother in combat or known someone in the military serving this great nation, this movie hits home on every emotion. It is perfect. From the sorrow felt to the honor in which the ultimate sacrifice carries, this movie encapsulates it all. From a military stand point, it is "spot-on" with Marine Corps customs, from the uniforms to the salutes. One of the VERY FEW military movies that is accurate. Truly tragic yet beautiful, made me cry like a baby to be honest. Semper Fi. Submitted by mse_0341 (Sacramento, CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.

Everyone should see this movie!!! When you watch this movie better have a box of tissues handy! I never knew how the armed services handled the death of their service men & women. What an eye opener! Submitted by denisedowalder (Benld, IL, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Feet First WOW. If you want to see a big bad grown man cry like a baby, make him watch this movie and keep your eyes on him at 92 seconds into the movie and then right to the end of it.
The Bush administration didn't want us to see the flag-drapped coffin on the news, this movie shows you them and everything else about them.

Taking Chance film
$15.09 The third film in the UNDERWORLD saga goes back hundreds of years to explain the origins of the feud between the vampire Death Dealers and the werewolf Lycans. Taking over directing duties from Len Wiseman is rookie Patrick Tatoupolos, known for his creature-designing duties in GODZILLA (1998), I AM LEGEND (2007), and the first two films in this series. Less an action-horror film than an old-fashioned "sword-and-sandal" film with monsters, RISE OF THE LYCANS finally gets to the root of why those vampires and werewolves really can't stand each other. Ruled by Viktor (Bill Nighy, VALKYRIE), the aristocratic, vampiric Death Dealers keep the wolflike Lycans as slaves. When a captive Lycan woman births a human boy, Viktor resists the urge to kill it, instead naming him Lucian and keeping him as a pet. Lucian (Michael Sheen, FROST/NIXON) grows up to be a blacksmith ...

Taking Chance movie DVD
$27.49 At once epic in scope and intimate in detail, David Fincher's THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON is certainly the director's most emotional film to date (though FIGHT CLUB and SEVEN don't offer much in the way of competition). Loosely based on an F. Scott Fitzgerald story, this romantic drama tells the tale of Benjamin Button (Brad Pitt), born in 1918 in New Orleans as a baby with wrinkles, cataracts, and arthritis. Benjamin will age backwards, getting younger as he watches those around ...

His worst fear is soon realized, as Kim and Amanda are abducted upon their arrival in France.
