When I was fourteen years old, I began writing songs for a rock band we organized as high school freshmanin 1963. Our five-man group lasted until 1967 when we graduated. During the ensuing years, while working in radio and the financial services business, I managed to eek out a couple of songs. About two years ago I accidentally learned about cd baby in a radio interview with a local dj conducted with Broadway performer and motion picture performer, Robbie Benson, who markets his music through cd baby. He recommended cd baby to any localmusicians who were looking for a venue to market their music. I took his advice and the rest is unfolding musical history.Coincidentally, I found a tape that will turn 42 years old this summer of a band practice in our then sax player's basement. I am now in the process of lifting my music from the tape song by song and writing new lyrics for each one.My first offering was CONESTOGA VIEW which is also available through cd baby. QUIET DESPERATION is my second cd a tongue in cheek song about gettin older. Carolina Girl, California Man came from reminiscing. I think a lot of you can relate, only you the listener (and hopefully a buyer or downloader) can decide.Rock'n'Roll Rider came from my appreciation of the writers and performers of my favorite rock and roll music.
