Tonk & The Honkys; An overdriven blues rock power trio made up of Kevin Pavezka (Guitar, Vocals), Devon Barrow Upright bass, Vocals) and Mark Weinfurter (Drums), have been pounding out a unique style of rock around Ottawa and the surrounding area since 2007. Taking pages from the books of blues legends such as Cream, Johnny Winter and The Rolling Stones, Tonk & The Honkys are the newest faces of progressive blues.Their debut album "Hit It!" (2008) is a fuzz fueled rock n roll kick in the face with cowboy boots on. The blues driven melodies, country soul and healthy dose of stripped down punk attitude are sure to get your foot stompin' and head rockin'. The aggressive psychedelic guitar playing blends seemingly with the raspy, raw vocals, while the straightforward groove based drumming keeps everything rolling. It's all tied together with slapping rockabilly blues bass lines that give these songs a classic feel.Tonk & The Honkys are the freshest sound in blues-rock since the 1970's. They are constantly playing the local circuit from mellow art and music shows at the Mercury Lounge, to Ottawa's home for the Blues: The Rainbow Lounge, to rowdy punk rock shows at Babylon Nightclub and everything in between.
