Venturing into uncharted territory for a reggaeton artist, Don Omar presents a concept album on his third studio LP, iDON. Featuring 10 tracks that make up a sci-fi fantasy of the famed Puerto Rican artist's transformation into a cybernetic half-man/half-robot character, iDON' s narrative justifies the project's experimental nature, as Don Omar blends elements of electronic music and synth-driven hip-hop into the traditional reggaeton formula. Re-teaming with Diesel (the producer responsible for one of the reggaeton icon's biggest hits, "Salió Sol") on the lead single "Digital Diva," Don Omar composes a lusty, futuristic club-banger. Elsewhere, the Don shows his sensitive side on the suave "Ciao Bella." Production comes courtesy of Robin Lex, Echo, Effect-O, and Danny Fornaris. ive seen ignorant comments saying "this is the worst reggaeton album ever" first of all this is not a reggaeton album lets make that perfectly clear, if you are hoping for the same reggaeton oriented and repetitive songs iDon is not for you, what you will find in iDon is a Don Omar who unlike most artists in "reggaeton" actually has a singing voice and throughout the 10 track album, you will hear influences ranging from Dancehall Reggae,Dance,R&B,Pop,Hip-Hop,Rock N Roll but without losing the swagger that made him one of the pioneers in the latin urban movement. If you are a person who can appreciate and demand new things from recording artists this album is for you, but if you like to hear the same thing over and over then look else where... oh and i am puertorican by the way and ive been following reggaeton since its started in the early 90's but i try to be a fan of music not of styles, genres or artists so i pretty much listen to every type of music and iDon in my opinion is one of the best and unique latin albums of all time

It gets better and better the more you listen to it
this is one of those cds that get better the more you listen to it. the first time you listen to it you get something really different than what you are expecting (weird beats and different styled songs). However, this is because don omar delivers something too evolutionary and special to be digested at once. You have to listen to it again to get the big picture and listen to the details in each song. then you realize how good and how much effort he put into evry song. these songs are all great and i cant stop listening to idon now. don omar el rey!

This album is off the charts, im a big Don Omar fan and all his songs will be hits. Although it has 10 tracks it will all be a summer hit. like Akon Don omar is right there. Don Omar is the future of Reggaeton. Don omar's music in this album is totally different and took it beyond music. unlike all reaggaeton artist talking about girls, sex and money the same ol caca like always, Don Omar sees past it. I have the album and love it. So if your one of those people that like hearing the same beat with different lyric then this album isnt for you. I give it a 5. Cant wait for another Cd of Don Oamr. idonnnnnn !!!

This CD is awesome!! Although many of the songs have a heavy electronic touch to them, it somehow still feels like reggaeton. Don Omar's voice sounds awesome on every track. The only gripe I have with this CD is that it's so short. Other than that, I highly recommend this CD!!!!
