ONE OF THE TOP 5 GREATEST CGI MOVIES EVER THIS MOVIE WAS A "BREAK THE MOLD" TYPE MOVIE FOR CGI AND THE STORY WAS GREAT. THE FIGHT SCENES WERE SOME OF THE GREATEST EVER AND THE FINAL FANTASY VII CHARACTERS WERE WELL DONE AND COOL AS EVER. THIS WAS A MASTERPIECE AND A PIECE OF BRILLIANCE THST A LOT STILL HAVE NOT LEARNED TO REALLY SEE AND APPRECIATE AS NON-GAMERS BY WRITING OR SAYING CRAP LIKE IT WAS SLOW OR BORING. SIMPLY REDICULOUS BECAUSE THATS WHAT I EXPECTED BUT WOW WAS I SUPRISED BIGTIME. FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN THIS GREAT ACTION MOVIE CGI MASTERPIECE THEN I URGE YOU TO RENT OR BUY IT TODAY BECAUSE IT BELONGS IN EVERY DVD COLLECTION OUT THERE HANDS DOWN. I'M STILL BLOWN AWAY TODAY AS TO WHY THIS MOVIE DIDN'T MAKE THE AOL'S TOP 50 ANIME MOVIES OF AL TIME. FORGET WHAT PEOPLE TELL YOU ABOUT ANIME AND ABOUT THIS MOVIE AND JUST CHECK IT OUT. YOU WILL LOVE IT. Submitted by MICHAELCBAREFOOT (FOUR OAKS. N.C. U.S.A.) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Great if you're a fan of the game To start off, the movie is absolutely beautiful. The visual detail in the characters and environment are just amazing. The action scenes are a blast to watch too.
I watched the movie in english, and the voices are done pretty well. A few parts in the dialog sound a bit off, but it is nothing you wouldn't expect from any anime.
The story is pretty well done, however, I think anyone who did not play the game or never paid close attention to the story might find themselves not enjoying the movie as much as someone who did.
All in all, I feel it was well worth the money to buy, and find myself watching it over and again. Submitted by redfox1187 (San Diego, CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 2 of 2 found this helpful. This review is for a different format.

$26.59 Robert Redford directs and stars in this provocative ode to political activism. Boasting a powerhouse cast that also includes Meryl Streep and Tom Cruise, the film features three storylines centered on the Iraq war. Cruise is Jasper Irving, a rising Republican senator who has summoned Janine Roth (Streep), the head journalist at a large news corporation, to sell her on the government's new military strategy. It's his hope that she in turn will sell the public on the idea. Meanwhile, a history professor (Redford) is trying to convince one of his more promising students to strive to make a difference in the world. Professor Malley believes Todd Hayes (Andrew Garfield) to be a bright young man, and he wants to know why Todd has become so apathetic about his schoolwork, and, after the two banter back and forth about the nature of activism, Malley tells him about two of his former students, Ernest and Arian (Michael Pena and Derek Luke), both of whom are currently serving in Iraq. Unbeknownst to Malley, at that ...

$30.45 A direct descendent of classic haunted-house films like BURNT OFFERINGS (1975) and THE AMITYVILLE HORROR (1979), THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT also features the classic premise of a family moving into a new home where the bad deeds of previous tenants have left a foul psychic residue. Reportedly based on true events experienced by the Snedeker family in the 1970s, Peter Cornwell’s film has plenty of effective scares, but it is also a moving family drama featuring an impressive performance by Virginia Madsen (SIDEWAYS).
It is 1987, and Connecticut teenager Matt Campbell (Kyle Gallner) is undergoing painful, experimental cancer treatments. Long drives to the hospital are making a trying experience even worse, so his mother, Sara (Madsen), rents an old house and moves the family closer to Matt’s clinic. Soon after moving into the house, Matt begins to have disturbing hallucinations of strange figures; but believing these visions to be unfortunate side effects of his cancer therapy, he keeps them to himself. When the visions persist, a bit of sleuthing reveals the Campbells’ new abode to be an old funeral home where séances were held in the 1920s by a mortician who also had dealings in the black arts that have left some restless spirits wandering the house. The first half of THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT, where it isn’t clear if Matt’s visions are real or imagined, is driven more by the touching ...
