(1 Customer Review)
Prong is back with a techno-organic revision of 2007's POWER OF THE DAMAGER. Dubbed POWER OF THE DAMN MIXXXER, Prong allows several electronica and hard rock luminaries to warp the previous album with a new string of industrial metal monster-pieces. This is Prong's third foray into the world of remix albums, following 1992's WHOSE FIST IS THIS ANYWAY? and 1993's SNAP YOUR FINGERS, BREAK YOUR NECK. Ideally these remixes take the signature Prong sound to new realms, and possibly new audiences. Contributors include Rob Caggiano (Anthrax, Cradle of Filth, 36 Crazyfists), DJ? Acucrack (Acumen Nation), John Bechdel (Ministry, Fear Factory, Ascension of the Watchers), Clayton Worbeck (Revolting Cocks, Ministry, Filter), Greg Puciato (Dillinger Escape Plan, Spylacopa), and several others.
Recording information: Sonic Ranch Studios, Tornillo, TX.
Personnel: Tommy Victor (vocals, guitar); Monte Pittman (guitar, background vocals); Al Jourgensen (keyboards); Aaron Rossi (drums).
Audio Remixers: Clayton Worbeck; John Bechdel; Rob Caggiano.
Kerrang (Magazine) (p.56) - "[The album] somewhat successfully fleshes out Tommy Victor's still riveting riffs, and songwriting prowess..." Power Of The Damn Mixxxer album
$10.19 Principally recorded at The Theater Studio & Mindswerve, New York, New York.
Mindless Self Indulgence's brilliantly named The Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy collects more of the group's outré, hip-hop-tinged industrial thrash. Singer Urine's bizarre falsetto sounds like a sped-up Jello Biafra, especially on tracks like "Boomin'" and "I Hate Jimmy ...

Power Of The Damn Mixxxer songs
$9.79 This is a collection of NOFX tracks from various compilations, 7"s and EPs, plus a previously unreleased song and dub remix.
NOFX are masters of the punk ethic of self-deprecation, and it begs the question if they truly realize the mark they have made on the history of modern hardcore. After 18 years, the band that sums up its musical prowess humbly as "good," releases a staggering collection of B-sides, compilation tracks, and rare cuts (many of which were previously long out-of-print in their original 7" pressings).
A cover of the Seymour Simons standard "All Of Me" sets the tone for this collection, and boasts an attitude that really says ...

Power Of The Damn Mixxxer album
$10.99 The pun in the title gives the album's conceit away: This is, in fact, a dub-influenced take on Pink Floyd's classic DARK SIDE OF THE MOON. But while the idea may be groan-inducing, ...
