| Mind bending King Crimson - Eyes Wide Open video Awesome KC sound and some great concert stage production. I mainly got it to see how all the musicians play their parts. Great item to have in your collection. I highly encourage people to buy it and listen to it LOUD! By Nick Villa (Ferndale, WA) |
| In the Music of the Perfect King Crimson ... King Crimson - Eyes Wide Open film King Crimson simply is a forefront, is a way of facing the music to a level superior to a band of common rock. East DVD delivers us impressive interpretations of the last stage of the band, simply an audio-visual jewel. By icanales (El Monte , Chile, Sudamérica) This review is for a different format. |
| Good stuff King Crimson - Eyes Wide Open review Disk-1 The video was great. King Crimson - Eyes Wide Open DVD for sale The bonus features weren't much of anything. Disk-2 The songs were better on this disk, but I was disappointed in the video aspect. The stage is too dark and one camera never would focus, but it doesn't take away anything from the concert. The bonus material (Improvisations) was almost as long as the concert itself, but some of the improvs were really out there. Overall, this would have gotten a 5-Star rating if the video on Disk 2 had been better. Each musician is incredible to watch. Even old man Fripp's fret work is outstanding (not sure why he was hiding off to the side and looking like Hannible Lector) for being around so long. Overall I really enjoyed it. | Great music, energy and mind boggling performance King Crimson - Eyes Wide Open movie As always, King Crimson approaches music from the non commercial angle and puts on a show worthy of any audience. King Crimson - Eyes Wide Open video The energy level shown on these two shows was extremely high - and as witnessed in Seattle at the Moore Theater 2003, the audience is becoming a lot more enthusiastic for what King Crimson has to offer. The recordings are excellant and song selection great - who knew they were going to do Heroes for an encore, and a terrific solo by Adrian doing Fly has this being a must own for the Crimson collection. Much better than the Vroom DVD. Mike. By sazmic (Kirkland, WA) This review is for a different format. |
| Another stellar collectible from a great band King Crimson - Eyes Wide Open film After seeing recent incarnations of this band and collecting everything that they do that I can get my hands on, again I am impressed. From my barstool going down as one of the greatest bands of all time! Music doesn't get played much better than this. By a reviewer (Naperville, IL) This review is for a different format. |
