Crazy band If you have to buy a copy of this CD, which everyone should own, don't buy the German import version. Wounded Bird have really stepped a notch on the re-masters & they really have much more sonic power. Compare the two & you'll hear what I mean. I think a lot of bands were influenced by these guys than they are letting on, Cactus were just ahead of their time, in a way. By bill (rogers, ar usa) This review is for a different format.
One of the best rock albums of all time Known as THE Cactus Album, it is a legend among "all" musicians in rock, and will blow the minds of any pure, hard/classic rock fans who have yet to experience it. If you have ever heard the expression "plug it in and play," this album defines it. All four members virtousos. "Parchman Farm" defies description and "No need to worry" is blues at its absolute purest. The labels "classic" and "legend" are thrown around today until they mean nothing. This is the real deal friends. By Jim (Nashville, Tn, USA) This review is for a different format.
Feel So Good I wonder how good this sounds compared to the German import version I just bought. The Wounded Bird version of One Way...Or Another sounds amazing. I hope Wounded Bird continues to re-release other hard to find classics as the Cactus albums. By bill (rogers, ar usa) This review is for a different format.
Great boogie & blues Buy this one for guitarist Jim McCarty. The former Detroit Wheel is unbelievable on "Parchman Farm". Also , the rhthym section of Appice and Bogert speak for themselves. Highly recommended. By a reviewer (Princess Anne Md USA) This review is for a different format.
Finally! A fine album and a long overdue one. Jim McCarty, Carmine Appice, and Tim Bogert finally reunite with fine vocalist, Jimmy Kunes to bring the magic back. The album is a solid work that shows the versatility and fine musicianship these men still posses. I'm thankful to be able to hear them play together again in 2006. But they still need to come to Nashville and play the Ryman. By jimf0602 (Nashville, Tn) This review is for a different format.
