Marcus G. Graf von Rittberg was born in Valencia, Spain and grew up in Germany. At the age of seven he started playing the piano. First, his lessons were focused mainly on classical music. As a teenager his musical focus and training shifted towards Jazz, Funk, Latin and Blues and later on Hip Hop and Electronic music. In 2004 he moved to Minneapolis and successfully obtained his associate degree in music production and audio engineering in 2006 at the Institute of Production and Recording. In 2007 Marcus' catalogue of solo music led to a publishing deal with 'Stray Dog Music Publishing' located in NYC. The mixture of different elements and the unorthodox way of weaving these together make Marcus' music style unique and exceptional in the realm of pre-existing genres. Hip Hop and Electronic rhythms often build the fundament of his music. On top of that Classical, Jazz, Folk, Funk, Afro-Cuban and many other stylistic themes are tied together creating an experimental potpourri of music. Organic and synthesized sounds are blended together in order to create an unusual listening experience. Marcus' lyrics range from humorous and light content to emotional and philosophical ideas not presented in a lecturing tone but in an entertaining manner. He composes, performs, arranges, produces, mixes & masters his music. He is committed to developing the emotional & spiritual character of music and at the same time bridging the gap between serious and popular music. Revolution Of Love album
$10.09 After the initial shock fades, the existence of CHRISTMAS IN THE HEART seems perhaps inevitable. After all, the thing Bob Dylan loves most of all are songs that are handed down from generation to generation, songs that are part of the American fabric, songs so common they never seem to have been written. These are the songs Dylan chooses to sing on CHRISTMAS IN THE HEART, a cheerfully old-fashioned holiday album from its Norman Rockwell-esque cover to its joyous backing vocals. Apart from the breakneck "Must Be Santa," which barrelhouses like a barroom, Dylan doesn't really reinterpret these songs as much as simply play them with his crackerjack road band, dropping in a little flair -- restoring "we'll have to muddle through somehow" to "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," ...
| | Trans-Siberian Orchestra Night Castle CDs (2009)
Revolution Of Love CD music
$11.35 NIGHT CASTLE appears just in time for the big 2009 holiday season but don't be fooled: this isn't a Christmas album, even if it's sonically indistinguishable from Trans-Siberian Orchestra's other seasonal releases, and the fact that it's been dubbed "Capra-esque" certainly brings it within the realm of the season. NIGHT CASTLE brims with all the drama, pomp, and circumstance of Trans-Siberian Orchestra's other records but channeling these traits through a newly created narrative does have the effect of hearing it in a somewhat new light, shifting the focus entirely to the band's attack, not melody. Still, there's not that much new here -- and the coda of seasonal covers, including the first sober version of "Nutrocker" ...

| | Shakira She Wolf CD (2009)
Revolution Of Love CD music
$11.18 Last time around, Shakira touched upon so many styles she couldn't be contained on one album, splitting Oral Fixation in two. This time, she focuses on one sound only: a pulsating electro-disco that crosses all boundaries and welcomes all nationalities. Such concentration behooves Shakira, freeing her to release her inner She Wolf, a wild wacko who's as coo coo as she is carnal. And for as sexy as Shakira is -- crucially, her music is sexy too -- what really gives She Wolf its bite is her inspired nuttiness, how she laments that Matt Damon's not meant for her, and wishes her ex-lover and his new girl a horrible vacation where the room smells and the toilet doesn't flush. "Darling, it is no joke, this is lycanthropy," she sings on the title track with no small trace of humor, and this blend of cheerful weirdness and sick beats -- often supplied by the Neptunes, delivering tough, sensual rhythms in a way they haven't in a long time, but also John Hill and Wyclef Jean -- is giddily addicting, a celebration of all the strange sensuality that comes out at night. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

| | Doyle Lawson Original Band CD (1999)
Revolution Of Love music CDs
$15.05 What has always set Doyle Lawson's groups apart from other progressive bluegrass outfits is their equal focus on both vocal and instrumental virtuosity. Where colleagues like the Country Gentlemen, the Seldom Scene, and the New Grass Revival tended to emphasize unusual repertoire and instrumental pyrotechnics, Lawson's band, even with its kaleidoscopically shifting membership, has always maintained a consistent dual focus on fiery playing and tight, rich, gospel-flavored harmonies. The Original Band compiles the first two albums (Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and Quicksilver ...

| | Certain General An Introduction To War CD (2002)
Revolution Of Love CD music
$20.25 We admit to a certain bias, but will put forth and stand by the claim, that, for a brief period at least (1983-85), and probably a bit longer, Certain General were, simply put, the best independent rock band in the United States. And this is 2½ hour, all previously unreleased-document backs that up claim. Comprised of two complete-in-themselves albums, CD1 is a studio document entitled "DEAD RABBIT GANG" These sessions comprise what should have been Certain General's follow-up to "November's Heat", itself named record of the year by several noted publications and a smash hit in France. Dead Rabbit Gang easily stands up to the best work of bands such as the Bad Seeds, Gun Club, Echo & the Bunnymen, Dream ...
