Odelia formed in Fullerton, CA in the fall of 2001. The band has an unstructured approach to creating music, incorporating loops and non-traditional rock instruments, switching off said instruments during songs, and a general DIY approach. The band's sound can be described as dynamic and atmospheric. Like their contemporaries, Odelia can be categorized in many genres. They have been described as experimental, post-rock, avant-rock, and instrumental. However, Odelia is comfortable with being described simply as a rock band. There is no single creator of Odelia's music. The band has distanced themselves from traditional song writing, their writing process is a collaborative, live experiment that stumbles over trial and error. The movement within the music is the focus, and vocals are used sparingly to enhance songs. Each song uniquely evolves in a dynamic range of sound and textures. Since 2001 Odelia has recorded four albums Argyplanischa (2002), The Angel as an Imposter (2003), Songs for a Clownfish (2006), and Don't Go Down To The Water (2009). $102.39 Initial pressings featured a limited edition, cardboard-stock gatefold sleeve and unpublished archive photos.
KC's debut album introduced to the world a group that threw various '60s genres into a blender and set the results afire with a blowtorch. One of the pioneers of the progressive rock movement that began in the late '60s and flourished in the early '70s, King Crimson was arguably the most consistently creative band in the genre. On IN THE COURT they blend wispy, Donovan-ish ...

$15.45 When he was recording his debut album in 2006, Chris Daughtry didn't have the time to assemble the real rock band he so desperately wanted to have, so it appeared under the band name Daughtry without featuring any of the musicians who later became part of the group. That's not the case with LEAVE THIS ...

| | Wright Brothers American Way CD (2003)
Don't Go Down To The Water songs
$15.19 Their show's as unpredictable as Indiana weather. One moment it's the thunder and lightning of one of their trademark, dramatic story songs; the next, it's the summer breeze of a sweet and gentle love song. Whatever the genre the Wright Brothers are visiting at the moment, it's bound to be marked by this versatile group's signature sounds: rich, intertwining harmonies backed by virtuoso instrumentals. The Wright Brothers' quarter century of making music together is testimony to their ability to bring a smile to every member of their audience. And often it's as much a smile of surprise as of pleasure; the boys move seamlessly from a 1940's pop standard to a reworking of a Beatles classic. What is most interesting is that this incredibly versatile group can change gears like no other group as they play a 40's big band song then switch to a 50's - 90's rock 'n roll for an entire evening of dancing, then turn around and perform a George Jones country classic or a bluegrass number from Oh Brother Where Art Thou? And what's best is the different styles sound the way they are supposed to - genuine. The glue that holds it all together is that unmistakable Wright Brothers sound; those heavenly harmonies that make you hold your breath, and the instruments that sizzle or soothe. The Wright Brothers put on a show. But you never know where the show's coming from: It might be Tom Wright, a true master of ceremonies, entertaining the crowd with ...

| | Sam Kinison Have You Seen Me Lately? CD (1988)
Don't Go Down To The Water album
$4.79 Sam Kinison's 1986 debut album Louder Than Hell was genius standup comedy. He was a loud, rude, unapologetically vulgar party animal -- and remarkably insightful. Kinison also earned small acting roles, most notably as the scene-stealing history professor in the Rodney Dangerfield movie Back to School. The former preacher had made a mark on pop culture as a "rock & roll comic" by the time of his second album, 1988's Have You Seen Me Lately? "Rubber Love" caused a controversy with Kinison's comments on safe sex, homosexuals, and AIDS. Warner Bros. even caved and placed a sticker on the album saying the contents did not reflect its corporate views. "The Story of Jim (Bakker)" is an appropriate lambasting of the fallen, hypocritical TV evangelist and his "innocent" mistress Jessica Hahn, ...
