| | Ben Reno Forever Young CD Ben Reno Discography of CDs
'It all begins with a great song,' says singer-songwriter Ben Reno and he enjoys doing it all. This multi-talented Californian writes his own music, sings, performs, and plays guitar, drums, banjo, bassand keyboards. In addition to being an accomplished composer, singer and musician, Reno was the youngest person in the United States to become a certified operator by Digidesign Company in the use of their Protools digital audio recording software and hardware. He recalls, 'the training was pretty intense but I hung in there. ' I received the best training of my life and learned so much from industry veterans like mixing master, Ed Seay. ' 'It's all the little things and tricks they do that make a great record. ' Reno has produced or co-produced on all of his recordings to date. Growing up in Southern California with music all around him, Reno's musical roots span four generations. He began his music journey at the age of 5 when he got his first drum set for Christmas and years later played with the school jazz band and church worship team. He discovered one of his father's guitars at the age of 12. The rest was history when he realized he could write his own songs with the guitar. He re calls thinking 'it is very hard to write a song while beating on the drums'. 'The guitar is so portable and is like my best friend. ' The inspiration for his writing comes from real life personal experiences. 'It's a release of my emotions,' Reno says. With lyrical collaboration from a close friend and the producing genius of music giant, Paul Taylor, one of Ben's personal favorite songs, 'Everytime I Cry' was born. Reno's style is a mix of retro, young and definitely Country, with a twist. 'I love all kinds of music and I've been influenced by all of it, ' he says. 'Classic rock like Fleetwood Mac and Tom Petty, Journey, Kenny Rogers, Lionel Richie, John Mayer, James Brown, the Beatles, James Taylor and Vince Gill. Anything that makes you feel good. ' He loves to entertain, is a natural on stage and in front of the camera. His first music video 'California Sun' filmed by Nashville and LA's best of the best, Fresh Films, is a fun example of this Californian's ability to entertain his audience. In a very short time, Ben Reno as an independent artist has gained the respect and interest of many music industry executives around the country. Now located in Nashville he has been blessed by so many great frie nds and amazingly talented people. He is currently seeking the right individuals and record label to become members of his team. Ben would like to thank his many fans, myspace friends and family for their continued love, support and prayers and God for giving him the talent and passion to create his unique music. Forever Young music CDs
$5.25 Christmas music releases have become a country music tradition, but the result is often generic mushy background instrumentation on the same moldy standards. Guilty of this is Vince Gill, whose Let There Be Peace on Earth is as cliche-ridden as they come. ~ Roch Parisien

| | Burl Ives Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer CD (1995)
Forever Young songs
$4.99 The Rankin/Bass animagic film Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer first appeared on December 6, 1964. Since then, it has become the longest-running of all holiday TV specials (with, we hope, no end in sight). It's fitting that the grandfather of all Christmas specials features Burl Ives, still remembered warmly by millions as the voice behind the film's narrator, Sam the Snowman. Although this soundtrack bears his name, Ives appears only on a handful of songs: "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "A Holly Jolly Christmas," and "Silver and Gold." The remaining vocals are handled by various cast members: "Jingle Jingle Jingle" features Stan Francis as Santa, "We're a Couple of Misfits" is sung by Billie Mae Richards (the voice of Rudolph) and Paul Soles (the voice of Hermie), "There's Always Tomorrow" is immortalized by Janet Orenstein (as Clarice), and a chorus shares "The Most Wonderful Day of the Year." ...
| | Hank Williams Revealed: The Unreleased Recordings CDs (2009) DGBK
Forever Young album
$30.79 1951 was a breakthrough year for Hank Williams. He had a string of moderate country hits already under his belt, but the release that year of his version of an old jazz age novelty tune called "Lovesick Blues" suddenly made him a big star. It also meant his touring schedule increased, but he still found time that year to slip into Nashville and pre-record shows for the Mother's Best Flour Company. These good-natured and intimate performances were cut to acetate discs and then played over the air on Nashville's WSM radio station. Brittle, disposable, and made for only a few plays, these acetates were then shelved and forgotten until they were literally rescued from the trash in the '70s by an alert WSM employee. In all, 72 of these shows survived, containing ...

Forever Young songs
$6.09 These 10 songs were recorded in sessions that were held in 1969 and 1972, but were never released because of legal problems with Jimmy Scott's label at the time, Savoy. With Scott's reemergence in the early '90s (and the inspiring trilogy of ALL THE WAY, DREAM, and HEAVEN), gears began turning and these wonderful recordings finally saw the light of day.
The title's is fitting for another reason--legal issues aside, for a ...
