Tyr Floreen was born in Philadelphia, PA. and now resides in Fleetwood PA. He received his B.F.A in related arts from Kutztown University and was a student of famed session guitarist and former member of Fleetwood Mac, Rick Vito. Upon reflection, he remembers being upset that his mother bought him a ukulele for his fifth birthday ( He wanted a real 6 string guitar ) and finally - after what seemed like an eternity - He received one at age 7. He was only 5 years old when The Beatles hit the scene in 1963 but was completely smitten by them and has been ever since. Although still a youngster, he soon developed a fanatical appreciation for other artists from the early 60's era like The Rolling Stones, The Byrds, The Doors, The Who, Cream, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan. - Tyr had just turned 13 when he met and had the privilege to take lessons from guitar maestro Rick Vito. This was a life changing experience. Mr. Vito continues to amaze and inspire Tyr to this day. Rick turned him on to the blues and in short order he was playing stuff by Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Duane Allman and Mike Bloomfield. Rick had helped him gain the tools and ear training experience he needed to embark on his life's musical journey. At this point Tyr was already playing in bands and continued to do so during his college years with the groups Randy & the Plutonians and The Boyer's Junction Special. After college he co-founded the band The Bad Actors with front man, David Moon. Wash Your Blues Away Music Tyr Floreen Wash Your Blues Away Songs | 1. | Salt Water Taffy |

$18.55 HOTPRESS REVIEW AUGUST 09: "The Jadesâ 15 minutes of fame via the TV series Youâre A Star proved that all publicity isnât good publicity, but the all-girl trio have earned their rock spurs by getting over it and moving on. Amber Skies was recorded by Dave Odlum (Gemma Hayes/The Frames/David Kitt), and comprises band-written originals, including infectious hook-laden tracks like âSooner Or Laterâ, âBeautiful Thingâ and âLoserâ. But they can stretch out too, as on âThe Wayâ which sweeps you off for five minutes in paradise, while chiming guitar fans should check out âLook At Meâ. The sound rarely moves far from using guitars and drums as scaffolding for the girlsâ soaring melodies and spine-tingling harmonies, so if you think slightly heavier Bangles youâll be getting there. This welcome debut firmly and finally counters any lingering suspicion of The Jades as manufactured pretty girl band. But then, theyâve always been so much more than that"All members of The Jades come from Kilmuckridge in county Wexford and first met at primary school. As Yvonne says, âWe have been in a band together for what feels like forever at this stage! We learned our spellings together in primary school and formed the band after finishing our leaving certs. We have taken a year or two off in between the time to pursue college and other things, but hey!, what good relationship hasnât!âBefore the band formally came together, each member had built up considerable experience performing locally in musicals and shows. They first came to public attention in Ireland through their colourful live shows and their appearances on the RTE series Youâre A Star. Though others have taken to slagging off participation in the show for fear of losing credibility, The Jades are grateful for the exposure, the friends, the fans and the contacts that they made and the incredible fun they had. They are unapologetic for embracing the opportunity it afforded them. Like every all-female band, The Jades have to contend with the tendency to be judged by their looks, ...
