Stand in Line album for sale Product Description

Stand in Line album for sale by Impellitteri was released May 19, 2009 on the Century Media (USA) label. Here comes cult hero Graham Bonnet, this time with new age axe-god Chris Impellitteri. Stand in Line CD music Given Bonnet's history in Rainbow, MSG, and Alcatrazz, the supreme screamer is no doubt used to standing behind fretboard fireworks. But the best moments on Stand in Line occur when the man with the iron lungs steps up to the mike: the title track is a searing shot straight out of the Bonnet canon, the sweaty "Secret Lover" sends lyrics and guitar spiraling heavenward until an all-too-abrupt fade, "Tonight I Fly" features a cascading chorus of Hollywood heartbreak that only great Bonnet could deliver, and the James Dean metal of "Goodnight and Goodbye" makes for a wild ride. Stand in Line CD music contains a single disc with 13 songs.   ...See Full Description

Graet suff!
I bought this just when it came out out of curiosty more than anything. Still have it (happily). While not a big metal fan, this is probably the finest, most artistic metal ever. Amazing guitar work if there is any. IF you ever see it-buy it. The cover of "Over the Rainbow" is beyond awesome. Forget the Wizard of Oz version-this rocks! 1 CD I will never part w/.

LeadAxe High Priest's Other Side
I would not recommend this album for the first time Impellitteri listener. Its a good record but Screaming Symphony and Eye of The Hurricane are better and should serve that purpose. Putting aside the expected comparisons to Mr. Malmsteen that I'm certain your typical 9 out of 10 Impellitteri reviews won't fail to mention, there are other aspects of this album besides the expected leadaxe mastery. First off there's probably not that many ways to "metalize" a cover song. But leave it to Chris Impellitteri to guarantee some technically stunning puches with the band's interpretations of "Since you've been gone" and "Somewhere over the rainbow". Secondly although a decent choice of singer in Graham Bonnet,(by the way the guy looks I couldn't tell if he was a rock singer or an executive VP) some Impellitteri listeners may find themselves (at least initially)longing for Rob Rock. Bonnet's style takes some getting used to as I hadn't heard the guy before and his voice sounded weird with those "strained" Rainbow influenced tones. If you were blown thru the wall by Rock on Crunch and Screaming Symphony as I was, you might see what I mean. Lastly look at this album as Impellitteri's statement that the shredding (although not forgotten with songs like "Secret lover" and "Playing with fire")is put in less focus. Instead what is displayed is that together these 5 can write songs, not just fretboard fanatics.

Fastest guitar player alive
For anybody who likes Yngwie Malmsteen this album is a great alternative. Chris Impellitteri is even faster than Yngwie and his music is very similar too. Not as good though but a good album anyways.
